System-Shock.

I remember once playing system shock for the PC,
the original game, not the SS2 crap they dumped out a couple year later. That game had cheesy graphics when you compare them to todays graphics, but the game was so freaking fun to play !!! i just kept going and going, I want that game !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! where can i find it ! j/k.
I won\'t play it anymore, cause i played it to death,
but i hope game-shops start turning out some decent titles, because the amount of dribbleware is mounting.

Actually, I think I have it somewhere around here. I never got into it, so the CD\'s just been laying around collecting dust. As long as it\'s not being sold anymore, I can see if I can get my friend Chris to do a full rip and send it to ya. Hope ya have a big limit on your E-mail account and a fast connection!

You could also try searching abandonware sites and Ebay to see if you can find it either for free or extreemly cheap.

That game WAS awesome.  I believe System Shock was the first "true" 3D FPS.  Before that all we had was Doom, which was never a truly 3D engine. SS was way ahead of it\'s time.  The only stupid parts in the game were those dumb VR sequences inside the network.  The final challenge in the game was one of those, and it was way too easy.

BTW SS2 was actually outstanding, but I\'ve never completed it.  I\'m going back to it soon.

Go to [ ehm, I edited this because I\'m a nice guy ]- they have the FULL cd-version ( not ripped ) there in ONE single zip. If you\'ve got a fast connection, be my quest and download it.

It\'s one helluva good game... and full of atmosphere as well.

But SS2 isn\'t crap. I never got into it ( but I will try... I will try again ), but it was one SCARY game... playing it in dark, with headphones, alone... *whew*

Uh, Darth. In the future, you might not want to put links to Abandonware sites on this forum. Alot of people see it as worse than trading Roms (although I don\'t know why) and it is technically pirating so theres a possibility that you could be banned for it.

I think SS2 is cool, too. It\'s very hard but that\'s why I like it.
