This is ver ver easy to explain

a.) the majority of the game your talking about are developed in japan so naturally they are developed with the Japanese language for the Japanese people

b.) after this there is the regionalization of the title. This means it has to be translated into the hosts country\'s native language.

on top of that your going to send that title to the Country that has the largest sales potential and that is the USA

c.) Europe has to have its titles translated into upteen different languages. Numerous countries make it more difficult to translate the title,

and Europe in general is a smaller Market then America


I know it sucks but there is nothing that can be done. Games don\'t translate themselves, or recode themselves to play on a machines with different standards. These processes take months

Don\'t forget about those baboons they control everything and have higher power then some aliens!

In all seriousness mate,

Europeans get games latter then americans because we have two different codes PAL (us) NTSC(them) it takes a while to convert NTSC into PAL, or people like Capcom can\'t be screwed.

Look on the bright side, Australians have to wait half a month after Europeans and New Zealenders have to wait a HELL of a lot more.

I think  European guys will receive games like Dropship ,Getaway first and we\'ll have to wait a year.There will be quite a number of European developers coming out in the future.

Not necessarily. Perfect Dark (made by Rare, a British dev) came out in the US months before Europe.

I asked u ppl with a company like TELSTRA....when do u think that broadband which is important 4 online gaming will advance.......3GIGS/month CAPS BULL CRAP... may be these is marginally related to gaming..........but halleluya this is one of the example why Australia is stepping back to stone age faster then hell........so why bother playing nice game......play TETRIS ON ur PC cause "Ziggy" said 3GIGS/month cable is enought 4 u babe....HAHAHAHAHHAA...........

CONSOLE gaming in Australia is slower then hell.....btw...my PS2...has been sitting around for 5 months now.........

The delay caused by localisation is probably the big factor in the lag between a US release and a EU release - (rant) what annoys me is the minimal expense in porting NTSC games over to PAL systems - they rarely bother to do anything to take advantage of our television standard, so in the drop to 50hz (which in virtually all cases slows down the gameplay) we also get these big borders top and bottom of the screen. As if to add insult to injury Ive not noticed a PS2 title apart from Sky Odyssey which offers a 60hz mode.

Think thats my moan quota for the week fufilled :P

Keep your heads high and enjoy some of the finer European releases before anyone else. Like Dropship, Getaway, WRC2001 etc (I\'d guess). And we got Zone of the Enders before the US. We\'ll get that KCET football (soccer) game as well... I don\'t really mind so much anymore. You win some, you loose some.

Germany sucks with all this ****ing games which aren\'t uncut.

Yeah i\'ve really been enjoying the benefits of being a european gamer, esp since Dropship, Getaway, WRC2001 are all not released yet and theres no words on the difference between release dates between Europe and the rest of the world. Its probably a day or so like ZOE was.

I would personally have Onimusha 15 years ago than to get a handfull of games a day early.
