How Many people actually post here? (Ive got the answer.)

You must be thinking that this guy is crazy, how would he know out of the 3200+ regestered how many of them actually post on these forums?

Well guess what I did?
yep.
I went through the 100+ pages of members names and post counts in the memberlist, and got some raw numbers.
from what is on the memberlist, we currently have:

44 people that have posted more than 1000 times.
91 people that have over 500 posts.
276 people who have over 100 posts
(remember the above numbers add into each other, because the people who have 500+ posts also have 100+ posts exc.)
so, if we  take the number of people who have posted 100+ times(which includes the 500+ posters and the 1000+ posters, if you didnt understand eariler:D), we would get 276.
 Now, we now know that there are currently 3208 regestered people on these forums.

if we subtract 276 from 3208 we will get 2932.

so? what is that number mean? you say.

that means that 2932 of the 3208 people regestered people here have under 100 posts.


so, the semi-final(yes, semi-final) stats are as follows:

44 people that have posted more than 1000 times.

91 people that have over 500 posts.

276 people who have over 100 posts(again, this number includes the number of 500+ posters and 1000+posters)

2932people that have less than 100 posts (most of these people are at 1 or 0 posts)


But im not done yet:D(sorry! its not done:D)

1.)How many people have less than 500 posts, but  more than 100?
2.)How many people have less than 1000 posts but have more than 500?

First, Question 1.
If you take how many people who have 500+posts (this includes the # of 1000+ posters), and subtract it from the number of people with 100+ posts you will get 185.(276-91=185)
so you have 185 people who  have more that 100 posts, but less than 500.

Now, for question 2.
you do the same as above, but subtact the number of 1000+ posters from the number of 500+ posters.
if you do that you will get 47.(91-44=47)


So, Finally we come across the Final (finally!:D) numbers:

There are 44people who have 1000 posts or more on these Forums.

There are 46people who have more than 500 posts but less than 1000.

There are 185people who have more than 100 posts, but less than 500.

There are 2932people on these forums that have less than 100 posts (most of these people have only 1 or no posts at all;))

Remember, That some of the people who have 100+, 500+ or even 1000+ posts have gone away and are not posting on the forums anymore.( they were banned, or they left, there are many reasons(SegaCultX, anyone?)

OK. well ive seen this question come up in some threads, and i just thought "Hey, why dont i actually count and find out?" so i did.

P.S- did you know that there is a registered name on these forums that is,   The PS2 Sucks like Lewenski   ???

P.S.P.S- did you know that i am sooooo bored because there is no new news on the main forum?

well, it took me about an hour to count them all up.

the writing of the thread took up a good 30 min ( i was doing more things than one at the time)
and i wanted to know how many people actually do post in these forums..
my best guess is that around 30 or less people are regulars at this forum here.

That would be my guess too. About 20-30 people come in and post everyday and probably another 20-30 maybe a few times a week.

Well I just like to say that the amount of posting is not important. I know people who post alot simple because they argue with everyone. Then thier are people who post alot because they want to spam to get thier picture.

How long they have been here is to me more important, although the people mentioned above do stand out more.
