I guess this game is taking the "GT route."  Meaning, it started out as a simple upgrade to the previous game (remember GT2000?), but it\'s beginning to evolve into a true sequel (like GT3).  If we\'re lucky, maybe EA will lose the "tricky" part of the title and replace it with a 2.

Well if it truly supports dolby digital 5.1 then i can live with the same graphics and an improved frame rate. I just find it hard to believe that they will be able to implement it in game. For example if an opponent was catching up to you the processor would have to
1 tell which side they were on, how far back, then send the signal to the reciever and out to the left/right rear speaker. This doesnt sound to bad but what if she quickly started shooting from left to righ trying to pass you or she wrecked or  got big air , jumped over you, wrecked, and skidded down the hill as you passed him/her ? That is a whole lot of info for the ee to handle, a whole lot ! Well I hope they can do it as I believe that real time dolby digital in games will be the next big step.
Nothing engrosses me in a movie more than the feeling of being there and i think it will be that way in games also.
Imagine a true dolby digital resident evil where you could here bullets richocheting off the walls correctly or hear a licker sneaking up behind you until it was so close you could hear its spit hitting the flor right behind you. Now to me that is immersion in a game more than a few extra polys or textures could ever provide !
