its in Squares secret vault untill they choose to remove them. I heard though that each is supposed to use the FF XI engine and not the FF X one. Which is resonable because they have been working on the FF XI one longer. The downside being that we have not seen any pictures of what FF Xi will look like. And ofcourse each game will be remade with the original in mind and will not deveate, if at all, much. They just will use the FF XI engine.

And thats all I know.

so let me understand this

the FFVII FFVIII and FFIX remakes are going to be 3D worlds thanks to the benfit of the FFXI engine

I thought they were just going tobe a higher polygon, higher res remake but still be the exact same game,

Someone elaborate please

Last time I heard, the remakes were only going to include higher-res character models and better sound during the FMVs.  I strongly doubt that Squaresoft is going to completely re-do the games using a different engine.

It is possible to be wrong. Even though i dont like to admit it. But I heard what I heard and I\'ll stick by it for now. Although it would suck. FFXI might not be 3d.

Y\'all know why it\'s called "Final Fantasy," right?

Square was doin\' really bad, almost about to go out of business.  Their last game and last chance was a little ol\' RPG known as their "Final Fantasy."  But, as we all know now, the game was a big hit, and here we are squirming for 10 and 11 on it\'s third platform.

Long live the Fantasy!
