MMCafe got bigger scans from the magazine of these pictures.  They look a lot more detailed.

Maybe I am getting more jaded and cynical in my older days (ha). But, I am not impressed with these pictures. The only thing I see that is actually moderatly impressive is the backgrounds.

I can\'t help but dream and wonder what Namco could do with more development time and if they actually tried to make it look like the true next generation installment / fighter .

OMG this game looks awesome!!!

I\'m a huge Tekken fan so these pictures are absolute bliss.

Look at the muscles on the player models!  WOW!

These pictures are quite blurry so we cant really tell the full graphics by just these.

The screens don\'t seem to be representing the game\'s graphics too well.  I want to see it in motion before making any judgement.

ok i have a question

well mybe two...

...1.How are those backgrounds MODERATE... i mean they look really good to me - the trees are nice the city is nice - the mall is the only one moderate

2.also what else makes this not on par...you do realize you are basing this decision on 4 early screens

just cuious - also do you like fighting games - i thought i remembered you didn\'t like them - because that can affect your decision - as i know it has about genres that don\'t interest me such as platformers
This Sig is a Work in Progress.

Uh-oh, don\'t say anything bad about the overrated Tekken series, people might get upset. Those pics don\'t look that good, early or not. If you\'ve got unimpressive shots because the game is early, don\'t send them out. All that early build stuff is crap anyway. The whole process of making a game may be 40%, but the graphics are usually done. It\'s just a way for you to think the game will look 60% better when it is done.

(Those percentages were examples btw, I don\'t know how far along this game is)

NAMCO is going to have to do a LOT better than that if they want to keep me from spending my money on VF4.

I can\'t wait to see how this one turns out...I\'m a BiG Tekken fan, although Law looks a bit (incredibly) lame. What\'s up with that \'stache? I wanted them to keep the "Bruce Lee" look.

I agree, these screenshots suck. I KNOW Namco can do better that this, so I\'ll reserve judgement on the game till after we hear some more news.

:( <= Unimpressed.

I can\'t say I\'m disappointed at all. I have a good feeling that Namco WILL improve on this, so I\'mm not worried in the least. Even if that does turn out to be the final look of the game, it doesn\'t worry me at all. I\'m in it for the gameplay, that\'s all I want. Visuals of that standard are MORE than enough for me right now. VF4 looks impressive, but there\'s NOT A CHANCE i\'d buy that game over tekken, and that\'s simply because I like tekken gameplay better.

These early shots suit me fine, and that forest background  looks quite impressive
Probably the earliest flyswatters were nothing more than some sort of striking surface attached to the end of a long stick.

I\'m not a Tekken fan, but I do think this looks nice - especially for crap scans from a mag. But the ultimate test is seeing it in motion (and when it\'s \'done\').
