What\'s your favorite video game movie adaption?
« on: June 17, 2001, 01:47:01 PM »
This is not a poll. Post your opinions. So, whats your favorite adaption?
Tomb Raider
Double Dragon
Mortal Kombat
Mortal Kombat Anihhilation
Super Mario Bros
Wing Commander
Street Fighter

Street fighter is probably my favorite. We have more to come! Final Fantasy, and Resident Evil, with perfect dark and Metal Gear rumored.

Mario Bros was tight, (even though the screenwriter was prolly stoned when he wrote the thing)

The only decent one I have seen in Mortal Combat, but I\'ve never seen Tomb Raider. Mario Bros. was horrible and cheesey.

Sometimes cheesy is a good thing.  I mainly remeber the phat shoes and other gadgets/interpretations of the game.

Mortal Kombat, by far.
I haven\'t seen Tomb Raider yet, though.

Well I heard something about having a Resident Evil movie, so if that is true that will probably be my favorite Video game/movie adaption.  But for now Tomb Raider is the best I have seen.

Agreed . . .

Of all the game to movie transitions, Mortal Kombat is the only one I still have respect for.

The sequel though, :boom:

I\'ve only seen Street Fighter and Super Mario Bros. And those just might be the two worst movies I\'ve ever had the questionable pleasure to see. Both are really bad, but Street Fighter just takes the (cheese)cake; the actors, the choreography, the setting, the plot, editing, everything was wrong. Horrible. It was good to see for a few laughs, otherwise, SF is one of the most laughable excuses for a movie ever.

I still haven\'t seen either of the MK movies, though I\'ve fondled the boxes at the rental store several times.

Somehow I have this feeling that either Tomb Raider or Final Fantasy will rank as the best game-spawned movie in my books. My money\'s on FF :)

Super Mario Bros. may well win my worst ever movie award. In my opinion, it was the most atrocious piece of film ever made. The casting sucked. But not as hard as the storyline, which REALLY sucked, which didn\'t suck as much as the SCRIPT... a more hideous spectacle I cannot recall

yeeesh

out of all the movies, i\'d have to take Mortal Kombat for sure. SF ALMOST gets it cos it was so cheesy it was funny, but mortal kombat actually included a magical revelation in the last few decades of movies... *gasp* SPECIAL EFFECTS!!
Probably the earliest flyswatters were nothing more than some sort of striking surface attached to the end of a long stick.
