Do you think that Adult games will become popular?

I was thinking about this the other day. Can you imagine if adult videogames really hit it off?

I was reading on the net about one compay that will be bringing adult based videogames to the PS2 and XBOX (as in virtual sex games). They reckon that they will give the user \'incredible\' \'realistic\' situations which to base the game upon.

Can you imagine the types of weirdos who would actually play these games? I mean, it would be funny to try out and have a laugh, but come on, playing a virtual sex game is just down right pathetic in my books.

It should be interesting to see how they succeed...

Ah, don\'t worry about it. I\'m sure MadCatz or Interact has something cooked up to help you out in that department. Maybe a, ahem, seperate peripheral you can plug into the USB ports or a large footpad controller like the old NES had.

Er, anyway. I hope so. Really. Of course, I\'m not talking about porno.. but I think much more adult oriented content would be a good thing in certian cases if used in a tasteful manner than befits the style and atmosphere of the game and not just thrown in for "cheap thrills". Think of a game made in the style of Stanley Kubrick\'s "Eye\'s Wide Shut", but with good gameplay. Lots of Sexual content, lots of adult situations, but done artfully and for a bigger purpose than just gathering in a few extra bucks from horny teens and lonely middleagers.

Then again.. there\'s a lot to be said for tasteless, humorous, and raunchy content too. (LSL, for example.. "Hey Meester.. you forgot your extra small, striped, lubricated, plaid, roughcut, ribbed, spearmint flavored lubber!)

well if we are talking Adult oriented sexual content based videogames then obviously the vibration function of the Dual shock will need to be re positioned.

When it comes to videogames all ya need to remember is all the teenagers in the 80\'s that played video games are 20  / 30 somethings now. All the teenage gamers in the 90\'s are mostly over 18 now

Adult gaming will slowly pick up steam and become very popular in time. All it will take is for one console to benefit from Adult content then it will snowball from there.
