I learned something last week about screenshots.....
« on: June 18, 2001, 07:06:46 AM »
Never believe them,  I have seen some of the worst screenshots of games for the PS2, but once you pop it in a console they look nothing like the screenshots.

Take Dark Cloud for example the screenshots may not look to good on the interent but in that commercial they look terrific, my brother went crazy over that commercial, and said that\'s a good looking game, and he demanded I get that game for him...LOL which I did. (Comes to show you how Sony can get inside a casual gamer head with ther ads).

Anyways I\'m never believing another screenshot in my life, Dark Cloud looks terrific better than those screenshots that have been glopping around.  That game looks good on the PS2 too.

Game that is common sense, games will always look jaggier, and crappier on a screen shot than on your actual T.V., it always been like that. :)

thats why when people say that a game will blow just becuas ehtye saw a really crappy screen shot, i step in and try to correct them.

Screenshots are nothing, they look good, but it doesn\'t mean it will look good in motion.

Yes, look at this first screenshot of the "new GT" with the pink car and all this reflections. I think no PS2 game will get such brilliant graphics. This screenshot looks better than the reality :). (I didn\'t find the link but I hope you know this screenshot)

Before I regret, some screenshots, I said some may look good in screenshots as far as gameplay concerns, not the actual look, becuz you know and I know that some screens that look good are going to look good on the TV set.

I agree..

Especially IGN cant take screens..

I looked at some SSX screens before I bought PS2..
The looked aweful, but when I actually played the DEMO I was stunned.
Didnt expect it to look that good :D
