I am not kidding, also, that is why we sees lot of jaggies on most pictures posted and show on computer monitor, they so clear you can see it. While on NTSC TV, (standard interlaced tv), not only there are too many flickers but so are the picture is blurry and color doesn\'t looks accurated compared to VGA monitor. No wonder we can\'t see much jaggies or any at all on TV because it blurry and refresh rate is nowhere near a monitor. I only connected the RCA (composite video cable) so it makes it worst. my tv don\'t have s-video cable or component either so I can\'t compare!!! Not only VGA gives high resolution and run in proressive scan mode but it have true color. The composite cable and the tv I see looks much worst, Red don\'t look red, much like magneta, I have a wallpaper of Tidus, I compared the two screen and the tv, you can\'t barely make out the Text Final Fantasy X while the monitor, you can read it just fine. The color of his yellow shirt doesn\'t look right either, the monitor, you can see a nice yellow and shade of dark yellow and light yellow. on NTSC tv, you can only see a whitest, and somewhat light yellow and not many shade of yellow. Sort of like comparing a 16 bits color to 24 bits color. Same thing with the Tidus hair and skin color. Also pink doesn\'t look pink on a part where Yuna dance on the water video, it looks like much like magneta or dark red color on a tv, but on the monitor, you can see all the color.
Enough talk. Who here thinks digital hdtv should go back to analog hdtv? I know, digital give crystal clear pic but it can\'t be compressed anymore that is why we have 1080i mode and 720p. Even at 720p, it only at 60hz. Well that\'s perfect for watching movies but if someone use hdtv as computer monitor, they will have lots of eye strain because of flickering. While in analog signal, it can be compressed more and see my analog computer monitor, it runs at 1200p @ 60hz or 1024p @ 75hz. while hdtv are at 1080p @ 30hz. Even some monitor can go higher than 1200 lines. Maybe I am being picky. I just wanted the hdtv to runs at 1080p at 60hz so there won\'t be anymore problems for people to select the format of 720p or 1080i to record. either that or get rid of the interlaced mode and make it progressive at 30hz. Or use only 720p mode!
