Especially in RPG games, the instructions are often a must-glance-over.  Sometimes there are hidden hints in the book too, hidden in the sides and graphics.

This should be in off topic.

For RPG\'s I usually read the whole book first. EA sport games I usually just jump in a play. I\'ll read the mauel after I\'ve played for about an hour.
Action games I usually just try to figure out everything on my own first.

So far not one person has voted that they read ALL the instructions before.  All us here must be experianced.  Most of the time need-basis instructionsa are incorporated in the tutorial of a game and often have references through a pause menue or something.  I wonder why we still have instructions.  Should they be "weeded out?"

i read mine on the way home form the store, play it for a bit, then read a bit more. i usually read it all just before i go to bed or something, also matters what the game is rpg ill read it all sooner, but games from like ea there all normally the same but read it bit by bit

Instructions? Bleh!  We don\'t need no stinkin\' instructions..

If you can\'t tell, I don\'t ever read them. Yes, in some games I die alot before I realize what the hell I\'m doing. Yes, this could all be solved by reading the instruction manual. But where is the adventure in that?
;)
