Tekken 4: 2 new characters and full pics of Yoshi and Xiaoyu!

A few days ago we received an email from Nall-ohki (one of our Forum members) informing us of a post on a Japanese Tekken forum about two new Tekken 4 characters found in a magazine called Nowa-Zu. We could not fully confirm these rumors, but earlier today some magazines scans surfaced on the forum (courtesy of kengou). I guess we can call it official now.

Nall-ohki also provided us with some background info on these characters at that time, most likely a translation of the Japanese you see in the new images.

Craig Marduk (28) - Male. Uses a form of martial arts called "Ba-ritu-do". Appears to be the person who killed Armor King. Is being targeted by King. Supposedly Ba-ritu-do, is actually a brazillian word that essentially means "Everything\'s there". So basically he\'s a mixed-style fighter. Upon elaboration, this means that he would fight dirty (go for the groin, the eyes, scratch the face, etc.) - Anything goes school of martial arts.

Christie Monteiro (19) -Female. Uses Capoeira. Is granddaughter of Eddy\'s Capoeira teacher.

A big thanks goes out to both Nall-ohki and kengou for providing the Tekken community with some fresh Tekken 4 news. You guys rule.

For all you Eddy haters out there, he is probably gone in this one!  Hopefully the new girl won\'t be as cheap (even though, chances are she will even be worse ).

Craig Marduk is the one I\'m the most interested in.  His fighting style sounds awesome.  I wonder if he\'ll have Johnny Cage\'s nut breaker move...  Look at the picture of his head.  He\'s missing part of his ear!

I love the new Yoshi look.  He looks like a huge bug!  I can\'t wait to see him in motion.

Can\'t wait for this game to come out, TTT was ok, i hope T4 will be more of a sequel.

Very interesting.  This may very well be the first Tekken game that I buy.

And that Craig Marduk guy looks like a beast!  I\'m anxious to see him fight.

I don really like "Capoeira" the practitioners have a serious lack of control.  Thus they are unable to participate in tournys with other arts.  Its pretty, but it seems that an art made for war might be more effective.  

I am not trying to start a martial arts debate.  But the Capoeira artists I have sparred like to telegraph a lot... and often get stuck in patterns of movements.  

I guess, I had just gotten tired of everyone saying how awesome Capoeira is just because they liked Eddy.  Its a dance that does quite well against people with no experience.

Cool, it looks like there giving the characters some pazazz in this one.... I wore out tekken 3 when it was in the arcades, TTT is boring.

So now that Xiaoyu is now grown up shes showin cleavage!!! Yoshimitsu is looking great as well, now he looks like a bug/human samuri with those wings now

I was a little disappointed in the new screens over at ign of the game in motion. I know not to judge what a game will be like from screens but still I cant help but think it isnt lookig as god as doa2 (but i know it will play better)

I agree. I personally don\'t see much of an improvement over Tekken Tag, \'cept in the backgrounds. Virtua Fighter 4 and Doa3 are looking alot better graphic wise. As for gameplay, that is all personal preference. I like VF and Tekken (prefer VF tho), but I totally detest DOA.

damn!! That craig marduc guy is a beast! Perhaps this time they\'ll opt to leave out a jack, and he\'ll be the new slow big hitter, looks pretty cool, i can\'t wait to see him in action

and I\'m interested to see Christie Monteiro fight as well, she doesn\'t look like she\'d be a slow powerful capoeira fighter like eddy SORT of was, she looks like she\'d be quicker and less powerful.... quick + capoeira = frustration

bah, can\'t wait to see it all, and just for good measure, yoshi looks awesome... i can\'t wait to see alternate costumes. His sword looks mad

i saw a pic of that new bloke, but though it was from another game as it was a jap website, and i dont read jap. he looks a bit like steve austin, looks very cool, apart from his dayglo skin tight shorts

the women looks cool, hope she better than eddy as i found him very predictable and easy to beat.

yoshi looks cool, like a bug or something



now im starting to get excited about tekken 4
