The character models are fine, at 60FPS your not going to be seeing much character anyway, and furthermore you\'ll be staring at the back of there head.

You answered my question. :D

Where did you read that it was going to be @ 60fps?

actually I have no confirmation on 60FPS, last I heard which was the 1st I heard of this game it was running at 45fps.  For some reason I just assumed it would be running at 60, and It probably will

Even at 45FPS and the speed of the game in general your not going to be noticing alot of character detail on the back of a seadoo

There are some movies of this game at ps2.ign.com, though they are pretty old, they show the great water effects and wakes from the boats.  The game looks a lot better in motion.

After thoroughly enjoying ATV Offroad Fury several times, I believe that Rainbow Studio\'s next offering will surpass that of their first. With that in mind, this will definately be on my pre-order list.

Apparently, they have used a specialist in water physics to create the water effects, so this should be cool.

When is the game out?

What format is it on, CD or DVD (purely for interests sake only).

Hmm.. Something looks really odd in these screens..
Whats the white stuff on the water (second screen)
and why is the water black and white? (first screen)

Overall the water looks really nice! :)

This is shaping up to be a rather sumptous game, and one that may possibly de-throne Wave Race 64 as the ultimate water racer.

But those who berate the look of the riders should look back at that particular N64 title.  It wasn\'t about the number of polygons that the riders consisted of.  And to be pedantic, it wasn\'t due to a blisteringly high frame rate, which Wave Race certainly did not have.

It was about the FEEL of the water, the way in which you reacted to the waves that made it such a joy to play, as well as the handling of course.

If this can be recreated , then the PS2 is onto a winner.

And for the graphic geeks out there, the trees don\'t look half-bad..... :)

ok Fatson

1st of all its sunset so the sky\'s color is darker

2nd it seems that this course is a river or glade of some sort

I know water is stereotypically blue, but in real life wate is crystal clear blue in the Carribean, and Blue green or even darkish like the above water.

There are all kinds of different shades of water depending on the pace you are at, the time of day and the type of sand or mud on the bottom of the body of water you are on.

The white trails would be the wake of the boat and if you\'ve ever ridden in  a boat and you look behind these "White Foam Bubbles" are very apparent

the water is incredibly realistic .
