Sega Channel (and my 1000th post, WHEE)

Did anyone ever subscribe to Sega Channel? I found an old gaming mag article about it, and I\'m still wondering how it worked. Altered, if anyone here had it it would be you...

of course I had it.
:D

It was a little thing you would attach to your cable out to the wall and on top of the genesis. Every month or so you would get like 30 new games to choose from to download and play. Once you turned the SegaChannel off, it would erase the game off of the temporary hard drive. It was quite neat and as many as 5 titles I have heard were on SegaChannel but never released to the public for retail. The downside of it was sometimes it was less than reliable, probably due to USWEST\'s crappy cable.

the good ole days.
