There is only one game of the same type as mgs i can actually see being better ( as in action game) that is syphon filter 3. i loved the last two,but with better grapics some new stuff etc, i could see this being better that mgs2. mgs had a much better story line, but sf was so much fun to play...what does evryone else think????

I still have to go for MGS, yes both games you take part in covert operations, but, I dont know it is just one of those things that I have to stick with. MGS was a great fun factor also, and yes a better storyline.

Okay, for one, Syphon Filter 3 is for PS one.

After playing it at E3 I quickly realized that it was more of the same that we saw in the 2nd title. The story is lagging and this game SHOULD HAVE been made for PlayStation 2. Moreso 989 is back making it and that\'s only bad news.

It\'s not going to be better than MGS2, no way in hell. It\'ll be likely if it makes out to be a mediocre title.

Yes, they\'re going to lose a lot by making Syphon Filter 3 a PSOne game. Better than MGS2? Even if it was for Sony\'s next generation console, I doubt SF3 could top Snake and the crew.

I bet MGS 1 will be a better ps1 game then syphon filter 3. It would probaly be awsome for ps2, but for ps2?NO! 989 screwed up with gameday, now since they will put syphon filter 3 on ps1 another screw up.

SF is a pretty average series. MGS is way better. That being said, I think SH2/X, Munch, Ico, WaveRace: BS, and lots of other games are \'MGS beaters\'.

i thought sf1 was better than mgs gameplay and fun wise for psone but mgs2 is the bomb. the ai on syphon filter crushed that of mgs easily but the 3rd installment back on psone ? come on what r those guys thinking

I thought Syphon Filter sucked d**k. You could just use that electric gun thing from anywhere. It had unlimited range and never ran out of ammo.

I could never get into that game. It just didnt have the story line, gameplay or atmosphere of MGS.

Well I dunno if we have to stay in the MGS catagory but I know one game that will undoubtly beat that game. I t is simple, its going to be Final Fantasy X no doubt. If I am wrong you all can take your punches at me.
