Anyone got the UK Sony Demo Disc?
« on: June 24, 2001, 12:05:11 AM »
Im not sure if us lot get one (since we got one in the box).

However when I was arranging a swap for my PS2 (which I didn\'t go through with), she asked if I wanted to register. "You get a demo disc and stuff". So I did. Seems to be the same as filling out that registration form.

I remember the PS1 demo disc taking 6 months to arrive.

Anyone got theres ?

Well im fussy. Remember them posts awhile back where I was asking people if there screen was off centre to the left leaving a black line down the right ? Well it was because of this reason I wanted a new PS2.

I now know there ARE people out there who don\'t have this problem, but it isn\'t down to faulty PS2s or not, its down to RGB Geometry. Infact some newer TVs have a centering option for RGB and gaming.

Although i think I get this offscreeness reguardless of RGB cable or not, for example Sonic Adventure in 60Hz mode.

Also S-Video seems to cure the problem, but my TV doesn\'t accept it through the scart socket and it doesn\'t have a S-Video socket as standard.

Anyway basically I decided I could live with the slight horizontal shift as long as it wasn\'t a problem with my PS2 personally. If it was a problem with my PS2 personally, then yeah I would have swapped it.
