Developers expect sony to have 51.2% of the marketshare in japan

This INCLUDES Handhelds

PlayStation 2  51.2%
GameBoy Advance 28.5%
GameCube 14.1%
XBox 3.1%
PS One 1.7%
GameBoy Color 1.4%


I won\'t comment on the obvious above..

However, if you add 2 of them you get another
(I know, I kick ass in math, so sue me.. hehehe :) )

Where did you get your numbers? Magazine?

I think Xbox might grab more the 3 percent. :D
I don\'t think PS2 will get 51 percent, it might be 40.

I ve said many times ps2 would sell more and xbox would have better versions of games.Thank god for the uninformed.

Or mabye people just want stuff first and like the controller .

I am both iam going crazy my plan is rent ps2 versions of game buy the xbox version if i really like the ps2s.but what if the **** up the xbox version.hmmmm.

to there are ways to give the illusion of AA,without having to take cuts in performance,and some developers are are taking advantage of themhowever ,until SOny comes up with a specific and easy ways to implement true AA that dosent take major hits on performance,you probably wont be seeing a huge number of games take advantage of it.

Howdy Chrono, long time no see.

I don\'t think that the market share of PS2 will be 51%, unless they are talking purely games sold.

I am about 90% sure that GBA will outsell PS2. and I am more than half sure that X-Box will grab more than 3%, probably more like 9 to 15 sounds reasonable.

when they say market share, they are talking about all aspects,

im not sure if the GBA will outsell the PS2, I think (i could be wrong) but the gameboy only sold more units world wide over the PSX because it had been out for so much longer...

what I don\'t get is how last year they said that PSX sold 75 million consoles. Now they say 100 millon+. How the hell did it jump 33% in one year? I dont the numbers that fastson posted were too accurate.
