Black and White and ps2(and online)
« on: June 26, 2001, 10:19:26 AM »
I heard about this awhile back but this is the first official news I\'ve gotten on it.

from cloudchaser:

Lionhead Studios confirmed today that they have begun production on a new version of their hit PC game Black and White for the PlayStation 2. The game should be finished by June 2002, and should incorporate online play of some sort.

I\'ve got this for pc and it is pretty wonderful, although I do it admit it requires utmost attention, can\'t just pop it in for 20 minutes to blast ultor guards. god, I love blasting ultor guards.
I have adjusted well to not being well adjusted.

trust me guys they hyped the hell out of this game.

I rather spend my money on blood omen 2,lunar,baulders gate da,beast wars(if its not like the psone version)
Both the gundam games.

Iam diffently buying the lunar the rest ill rent.
to there are ways to give the illusion of AA,without having to take cuts in performance, and some developers are are taking advantage of themhowever ,until SOny comes up with a specific and easy ways to implement true AA that dosent take major hits on performance, you probably wont be seeing a huge number of games take advantage of it.

June 2002? I\'ll just be in the closet, laughing, so I don\'t disturb any of you.

Wonder if anyone cares about the game anymore... The PC gamers have got it already (and played the heck out of it), and the PS2 owners have probably forgotten about it or played it at a friend\'s place or something. Bah.

didn\'t you just come out of the closet hawke?

yea june 2002 is waaaaaaayyyyyyyy too far off for a port....and this game was probably too hyped in the first place...still games that sometimes languish on my pc find new life in my console for some reason.

Heh, I could\'ve put it another way, but I thought I\'d try how quickly someone would try to make a joke from that closet-thingy. And my room is so small I practically live in a closet... :p

Overhyped indeed... a finnish game magazine had articles on the game on a monthly basis, where the people of Lionhead talked about the game and hyped it as much as they could. For years, we got to read about the game and how fabulous it would be, and what we\'d see when playing.

When they reviewed the game, they were slightly disappointed, and compiled a list of what they\'d been promised for Black & White, and what was ultimately left out. The list was painfully long. Still it looks like a corker and I\'ll probably pick up the PC version after I get out from the armed forces and upgrade my PC.

I\'m tired of THAT game. It\'s too hard to be good... all my gods are evil.

Uneven gameplay, IMO.

BAH!
