All you do is plug your exsisting ethernet into the adapter. Im going to have both set up so I\'ll probably get a hub.

In a sense yes. Remmember though that some games will require teh harddrive adapter. Twisted Metal Black Online will.

NO they are both seperate devices. You need teh Ethernet -no eseptions-. Some games require the Hard Drive. Some dont. I could care less about Tony Hawk so I dont know if it requires it

No problem. I think it was because of your name. Sounds very familiar. . .

I don\'t know how you\'ve got your cable modem config\'d but here\'s mine.

It\'s an external 3Comm that takes a coax from the wall and runs an ethernet cable to my PC\'s Ethernet card.  So if I plan to use my cable modem on my PS2, which I do, I\'ll have to either[list=a]
  • Unhook the cable modem from the back of my PC and run it to my PS2 every time I want to use it
  • Buy a network hub and another ethernet cable[/b]
For either one, I\'ll need an ethernet adapter for my PS2.  That\'s the minimum, like they say, TM Online and some other games which require updates, downloads and such, may require a HD, too.

Buy the hub.

But the network adaptors won\'t be out for months, right?

Hubs are cheap.  Just buy a 3 or 4 port hub.  Done.
