So you sold your N64 in 1998 and then traded it in for a DC later? How is THAT possible?

I\'m sorry it was summer 1999 when  I traded the n64 in.  Then I got store credit and my brother and I got a dc at launch with sonic adventure, hydro thunder, soul cailbur, a memory card, and a extra controller for $15!!!!!!!!!

Hey Gohan, I don\'t know if you just chose the same name or what, but I\'ve seen someone by your name in another forum.  Where else do you go?

As for Nintendo being kiddy, you just couldn\'t be more wrong.  While they do release more "kiddy" games than other consoles do, they also release many mature games to counter them.  If you think you\'re too "mature" to play games like Mario, Banjo-Kazooie, or Rayman, then you must just be trying to look cool.  Now way should anyone pass up on these classics.

Just for argument\'s sake, here are the non-"kiddy" titles being released for the GCN:

Madden NFL 2002  Sports
NHL Hitz 2002  Sports
Star Wars Rogue Leader: Rogue Squadron II
Wave Race: Blue Storm
Extreme-G 3
Batman: Dark Tomorrow*
Kameo: Elements of Power
NBA Courtside 2002
Raven Blade*
Metroid Prime*
SSX Tricky
Eternal Darkness*
Duke Nukem Forever*
Legend of Zelda for Gamecube
Too Human*
Resident Evil 0 *
Thornado*
Picassio *
Saffire *

(* denotes "mature" games)

Also, I wouldn\'t be suprised to find myself buying kiddy games like Luigi\'s Mansion, Mario, or Pikimin.  You can\'t turn down a game for it\'s looks, it must be based on gameplay.

Nah, i thought mario 64 was an awesome game.  The problem is that nintendo only had a few n64 games that I really liked.  As for the "mature" the only ones that interest me is zelda, resident evil 0(but re4 coming to ps2),Ea sports(ps2 has them NOW) Rs2, and metriod prime.  As for everything else I can get on ps2 or live without.  I just think ps2 has so many more games I want for it than gamecube.  I\'m more convience now buying an xbox than gamecube at this point.  Oh yeah guys did you hear about the shenmue thing with xbox?  Shenmue most likely will show up one the xbox which is going to make my purchase ever sweeter.  So the bottom line Nintendo does have some good games but they seems to slow with realsing them with n64.  I hope this doesn\'t happen with gamecube again...........

Raslant you are missing the obvious point. How can Ninja Gaiden be to mature when it appeared on both the NES and SNES? Sure, it did not appear on the N64, but it didn\'t appear anywhere. Nintendo had Perfect Dark, GoldenEye and other games though, that was 10x more violent then Ninja Gaiden ever was.

So how can Ninja Gaiden possibly be to mature for Nintendo, when it has already appeared on their systems, not to mention Nintendo\'s systems have hosted first person shooters which are way more violent??

I\'ll agree that the N64 wasn\'t one of the best consoles (in my opinion) but I see no earthly or logical reason on why Ninja Gaiden is to mature for Nintendo\'s GameCube.

OK, Let me get this straight. I\'m going to assume you bought a N64 somewhere near launch; because you only had Mario 64, correct? Now explain to me this. You complained about the slow trickle of games from the N64 yet you went almost 4 years without buying ANY of the AAA games that were released for the console? Either you are lying about the whole situation or you are just being a hypocrite.

Oh I had about 7 AAA title but one ps2 I had like 35 AAA title at the time.   I mostly played my ps1 over the n64.  They just took to long to realese games for me I just traded it in for a dc.  On dc I have about 25 games  and the system just been out almost two years you see my point?
