Pay it Foward..

This is sorta like Altered\'s 12 Monkey\'s thread, ya\' know the whole discovering a movie and finding out it is totally awesome.

I just watched Pay It Foward, with Kevin Spacey, Helen Hunt, Haley Joel Osmand (" I see dead people.."). This movie is friggin\' awesome. Thru most of it , it is a \'chick flick\', but by mid-ways you actually start wondering what is goin\' to happen and the ending is one of the most "touching" endings. I actually started to cry. :crying:

Anyone else seen this movie?
If not--GO RENT IT A.S.A.P!

I absolutely HATED the ending!  I mean, it was a good idea, but the connection of the ending to the rest of the movie was a little weak.  They could have had at least on more encounter with that group of people (trying not to spoil anything) to give us some fair warning.  I really couldn\'t see it ending any other way, but something about it wasn\'t "perfect."

And what\'s with all these posts involving that kid?

I sort of agree. I think the ending was very dramatic, but the point you bring out (group of people) was alittle lame.

As for the posts about the kid. Not sure, I didn\'t even notice it. I can\'t say, I even like the kid, \'cept for this movie. I am one of the few who didn\'t like "The Sixth Sense".

I was proud of the kid for helping his friend.  2 thumbs up.

********Possible Spoiler: if you haven\'t seen the move you probably shouldn\'t read!

Please expand.  I know they had that one run in, when the kid chose not to help.  Maybe if he chose to help someone else in another situation, and he almost got hurt or something.  Then when he encountered the "kiddie gang" we could have been like "remeber what happened the last time you tried something like this?"  I dunno, just the was it is seems so sudden and unaccounted for.

Spoiler ahead::::

The lame part I was talkin\' about, is the group of people at the very end. Not the bullies. ;)

I think the bullies and him stickin\' up for the kid bein\' beat up, was just a simple matter of him standing up for what is right. He felt bad that he didn\'t help the boy the first time-- that he didn\'t try to change the boys life in some way. So, the time he got a second chance, he took it.

***********Still spoiling!

When I said group of people, I was trying to avoid spoiling the movie, I meant the "kiddie gang."  I\'m still stickin\' with what I said before.  A near death encounter would have helped out the movie (IMO, of course).
