I got the game StAnZo,but it is american,i picked it up while i was over there,i will give you a little review.
Graphics:The graphics are really nice,the character models are very detailed,and look the best when they are up close.The movement is also very good,and i would say very lifelike,but the only thing i am disssapointed on in the graphics department is,the last boss,i thought to put it simply it looked ****,but that is just what i thought.Also it is a shame that the backgrounds are pre-rendered,but they work alot better then in RE,boxes and things fit in better,but it would be better if they were fully 3D.
Controls:The controls have been made alot better for this game compared to RE,but you only use the D-pad.You can fight two different ways,the first is simply to just keep hitting square,but if you then hold R1 you will go into a fighting stance,which is where i feel the controls come to life,you can dodge quickly and easyly to the left,right,forward and back,and you can swipe the sword in diffent ways depending on the way you are holding the D-pad,you can do a 180 degree turn by pressing R2 and can also block by pressing L1,if you want to progress well in the game get use to using the block button,it comes in handy. Also you can now access the map by simply pressing straight down on the right analog stick,which is really cool,and alot easier then keep going into the menus all the time.
Gameplay:It is the classic the princess has been kidnapped,and you have to save her,with a little help along the way of course.
And you also have the same bad guys poping up every now and then to throw a new challenge your way,i.e new monster and new bosses.
For some reason i didnt get bored with keep slashing the same monsters over and over,i have really enjoyed it all the way through the game,i think it can still sometimes fill like RE clone,what with the pre-rendered backgrounds,and also the get this machine working you have to find a cog,but you still dont get bored,it is fun all the way through.
You have 3 different swords one lightning,one fire and the other one wind,which you have to up grade along the way,you also have to do this to progress through different doors,but not only do you have to up grade your sword you have to up grade the orbs,which hold the power to the different magics,but along the way you also pick up a gun and a bow and arrows which are really cool,and help you out alot along your adventure.
Sound:the sound is preety impressive,especially through a Hi-Fi,the music is good and the sword effects are really good,the classic stop a listen if you can hear a zombies footsteps from RE,are back in this game which i think really helps to build an atmosphere.
Overall:I would recommend nearly everyone to buy this game,with out a thought,it is very fun and enjoyable,and for me the game was just long enough,and i truly believe that this game will be a big seller in the UK,and could even sell systems.
But i would say that if you are not a RE fan then maybe you should stay clear of this game,as it has the same elements as RE,but if you still feel like you want to give it ago,just make sure you buy it from EB,so you can take it back with in the 10 days.
