Ok as you well know i just brought a new sony wega,but when i hooked my ps2 up to it,it looked like the colours were always moving,and it was pissing me off,because it made the picture look ****,so i was looking in my brothers room,and found my old ps1 offical scart,so i thought what the heck lets give it ago,so i connected it all up,and when i switched it on,i could not believe the quality of the picture,it is the best picture i have seen,and all the colours were not moveing,i really could not believe my eyes,it was heaven.
So if you can get one or have the offical scart from your ps1 then use it without a doubt,i really could not believe it,so i am going back through all my other games to see the difference.
Let me know if anyone else notices a real difference,in the quality.

yea ive noticed it, but havnt tried my old scart, cos it went with my ps1. the tv im using now (as mine broke) doesnt take scart, but i find the areil lead does a better pic

interesting... then the tv cables were low quality or what? They would be of Sony too...

When I use the cables that came with the PS2.
The colour are very poor..

It seems like you have a gray-ish, "net" over the picture.. (hard to explane)

But the picture seems darker. (grayish)

I use my RGB cable when I play :)
The RGB cable is superior!

ah ok. Anyway I can´t reach a well quality graphics cause my tv iv very old... I need a new one at this moment!

I use S-Video.  When you say scart, do you mean "component" or Audio(L)-Audio(R)-Video RCA jacks?

yeah the scart that came wit the machine is basically for the dvd feature and not the games feature thats when ur old rgb scart comes in handy !!

Isnt RGB the older type of cord you plug into the ariel?
Correct me if I\'m wrong. It\'s just you guys seem to say it\'s better than the newer type plug you get with the PS2

I have said this before ethan, if you remember my posts about \'Dotcrawl\' well this is what your\'e experiencing with
the crappy composite lead that sony gave with the PS2. I brought a proper RGB scart lead immediatley and have
never looked back. Expecially now i have done the DVD RGB mod :D

Whats the best cord to have for me? Sorry, I dont know much about this stuff.

I have a 21 inch Sony TV. It\'s got 1 plug for the picture and 1 plug for sound (yes it\'s only mono) But I use my stereo for sound anyway so I only use the picture plug in my TV.
So whats the best plug I can use? I\'m currently using the one out of the box

Depends on what the TV can take. Does it have SCART or S-video? If so, use that (in that order). It\'s much better than the composite leads that comes with your PS2.
