The story was excellent for a freaking fighter
And the fights (limited i know) are alright
I don\'t know what\'s this bull-crap about loading times either i was told in between fights and talk scenes it takes 50 secs
The sound was the best i\'ve heard on ps2 (granted i own a dolby 5.0 surround sound speaker) but the dolby support is well worth it the music in some scenes sounds like the movies
The graphics were definently beautiful.. my favs of course were the Full Motion Videos (the train one just kicked a$$
) not forgeting the fighting Graphics
And the fighting was good too (more moves tho )
Only complaints are the length, fact that u need to buy a Multi-Tap for 2 player (WTF??) and how their lips aren\'t in sync with words(because square would\'ve have to re-do their whole mouth movements from the japanese ones)
A definante rental (if you like tobal, final fantasy (psx) or shadows of memories  )
No, no, I would of still pretty much trashed the game. It had alot of hype , which I didn\'t buy into.
The fact is, it was way to small and tried to be a movie not a game. The hype may of hurt it for most people, but it had zero effect on me, as I rarely believe in hype.
Sure, the movies looked great, but they are just that movies. This is a video game, when you pop it in, it may be nice to watch the movies once. Twice at most. But, you want to play the game, not sit and watch movies every five mintues. Which brings me to the gameplay itself.. Fun. It was mindless fun. The four player battle mode is somewhat amusing, but not nearly deep enough to actually be a fighter.
The graphics were sweet. The sound was sweet. The gameplay was okay.
If Square wanted, they could make an excellent sequel. Cut down on the movies. Make the game alot longer, make the backgrounds interactive, add more moves, more characters, improve the graphics (natrually). Bam! You got an awesome game on the PS2.
Which by the way, I personally loved Tobal. Oh and Shadows of Destiny (Memories in the UK) is one my favorite PS2 games (only beaten by Onimusha).
