The best thing would be to use a camera lense brush.  They are really soft and have a little puffer attached to puff air through the brush!

Really it\'s that easy, damn my ps2 was the same way and I took it to Knights Videogames and they fixed it for 15 dollors. But I think my system gots more dust in it again because some of my cd format games don\'t work all the time, and the dvd formats work just fine.I\'ll try those cd cleaner things.

But the dust from the fan vent would have a lot harder time getting to the lens than coming in through the CD tray.

i\'m glad to see you have the balls to do something like that... since i mean i would rather pay the $120 to send it off for repairs. then to take the ps2 apart which then voids the warranty on the ps2 and if you took it apart and then messed it up someway and you\'d be out of $300..

Thnx for telling me  AjT004, I was almost gonna pay $120 to get it repaired.

Before, all ps2 cd\'s and any DVD would not work. But I got some Alcohol and toilet paper. I put some Alcohol on the toilet paper and gently rubbed the lens and then dried it off with the dry side of the toilet paper.

I tried my Dynasty Warriors 2, and it worked, but still, no DVD\'s worked.

So I saw this white gear making noise, everytime i start the ps2. I kept moving it left and right for several minutes and the dvd\'s worked great.

But I still have the problem, where I have to keep reseting my PS2 for something to show up on the screen.

Atleast I can play GT3 now :).
