Is it a rumor? Cuz I hear XBOX fans talk about it but Hideo kajama said it is PS2 exclusive.

He did nothing of the such....in fact hes talked about it.  he said that the graphics will look better do to the xbox\'s extra abilities but the game will be basically the same....  you can expect some 5.1 surround sound to happen though:D   thats going to rock:D

AS for the developement of the game....its probully in the works and wont take that long to port over...remember this......kojima\'s HEAD programer quit working for him....guess where he works at now??:D

He works for XBox of Japan now:D

So wait, you are saying that Kojima\'s head programmer quitting and going to work for Xbox of Japan is a good thing?  I don\'t know if you know anything about programming, but if what you said was true, then that had to have hurt the developement of MGSX.  I don\'t understand why you think this is such a good thing.  Please explain.

Now how does kojima\'s head programer leaving Konami HURT the developement of MGSX???  he works for the company that its coming out for....he could be familarising himself with the xbox hardware for all we know in order to make this game rock.....

He could also be making his OWN game that will rock cause this guy REALLY needs to be on his own and NOT under KOJIMA....he could be the next greatest developer in the business...cause he is that good.  working UNDER Kojima is only halting this guy from being GREAT...and Kojima knew this and thats why there were no hard feelings when he left.  You know...Kojima worked under Miyamoto for a long time...what would have happened if he were still under him???  there probully would not have ever been a MGS series.....he would be coding for games like ...Pikmin...the horror.

If him leaving hurt anything at all it would have hurt Sony cause he left developement right after he finished the demo that was in the ZOE set...leaving the rest of the game to be coded by people who were not on his level....And yes....kojima is not near this dudes level of coding ability...he has said so himself.  Kojima has the vision....this guy helped bring it to life.

But....weve seen the e3 stuff so we know the ps2 version was not hurt was it???  the rest of the developement team was competent enough to handle it...so im sure you are happy as well as I will when i get MGSX.

IMO, Even if the Head-Programmer left so what, they have the Game-engine done, do you honestly think they will tweak the engine this late in development? As for anything else, any decent programer could finish this game, why? Cuase the hard part was done already, if it wasn\'t, then we would have never played the MGS2 Demo.  :D

And you have all this info from where? Of course I\'m sure you have evidence for your statements, I\'d just like to see it myself. So, care to give a link or something?

Ok, now you are not making any sense.  You are saying that the guy who quit the MGSX team could learn about the Xbox and then make MGSX rock?  He won\'t be working on MGS anymore.  How could he make it better if he isn\'t working on it anymore?  I still don\'t understand what you are trying to say.

The key word there is could.  I could be on my way to being a professional video game player that gets paid $200,000 a year.  See what I\'m saying.  He could be, but all you are doing is speculating.

So him not working on the PS2 version anymore will hurt MGS2, but him not working on the Xbox version will help MGSX?  Again, that just doesn\'t make any sense.

Toxical, true, but it still would have hurt them a little.  They can\'t go on without a head programmer.  They would either need to find another person, or just promote one of the lower workers up to head programmer.  I still think will take a lot of skill to finish this game.  Yes, they have the basic engine done, but the tweaking and optimizing is also very hard to do, ESPECIALLY if you\'re trying to tweak someone else\'s code.

I see you lack reading skills also!!!  cause I SAID that if any system would have been hurt it would have been sony but THEY WERE NOT hurt...I SAID THAT BUT YOU OBVIUOSLY see what you want to see.

I never said he was working on MGSX...but him not working for Konami anymore does not mean he will not help them.  did EA give other companies Libraries that THEY made???   yes.  why couldnt this guy do it as well????

Bottom Line:  He got a pay raise...he works for xbox of japan, and he is in a position where he could help his old friends out if he choses to.  Notice he works for XBOX ...not some other develoing house.  That means hes all about making the xbox a profitable system...meaning if he can help along MGSX (a HUGE potential profit maker for xbox)   then he probully will.

Yes this is ALL specualtion dude....I never said it wasn\'t.  My point was....if MGSX team needs some help....he can play a KEY role in giving them help.

And to others....im not making this up??  If you were a DIE HARD KOJIMA follower then you knew about this...Ill try to find a link as soon as possible but I have to go through archived news to find it....and the problem with that is.....this was in a daily radar news update....

and since they are no longer..it makes it even harder to find....if ill find it???  ill post it.

yeah, you are right, they might promote an underling. It will take skill to finish the game, here\'s hoping that everything will turn out ok !  :D
Can\'t wait for this game to come out :D

The deal? This is the deal:

(Note: Before I get flamed about being a lier and a PS2 fanboy, let me just say that all of these points are true and have either been confirmed by Konami or by Hideo Kojima (GOD) himself. Thank you.)

1. MGSX is not confirmed.

2. Kojima himself said that whatever KCEA said was wrong and that KCEA and KCEJ haven\'t talked about it at all.

3. He has however said that on XBox there may be a few things he can do with it he can\'t on PS2, like using the HDD (he has expressed interest for the PS2 HDD, and the possibility of using it), and maybe making the graphics a little bit better. But like I said before, nothing confirmed.

4. Kojima has also said that to him all the next-gen consoles are pretty much the same, some are better than others at certain tasks but in the end they\'re all very similar. He said that when he decides on a console to make a game for he doesn\'t look at the specs or the quality of the graphics, he looks at the console\'s userbase.

5. And with the previous statement, PS2 is the winner. PS2 already has over 10 million users (yes, yes I know its been out almost 2 years already), and everyone from little kiddies to people in their 40-50\'s play PS2. GameCube is aimed at kids (BTW Hideo Kojima said himself that GC is aimed at kids and thus will not be getting any version of MGS), and the most likely people to buy an XBox are either computer nerds and older men (said by just about every game magazine and website I\'ve ever seen, and no not just PS2 ones).

6. And lastly, even if XBox does get a version of MGS it won\'t be out until far after the PS2 version has been released and played to death.
Regarding the comments about how MGSX is already in development and how easy it would be to port it from PS2 to XBox, both are false. Kojima said himself that everyone is too busy working on MGS2 to even think about working on an XBox version, and also that MGS2 (as well as all other PS2 games) is written using PS2 specific machine code and that to port it another console they would have to completely re-write the game from scratch.

I think that just about covers it. Thank you for reading and remember that you too can be just another victim.

Solid Snake 88, I agree with most of the stuff you said, but some of it was wrong.

Core had an interview with someone from the MGSX team, and they said it was an updated MGS2.  I am pretty sure that it has been confirmed.

Also, the PS2 has baraly been out for 1 year in Japan.  It was launched March, 2000.  It hasn\'t even been a whole year everywhere else.

Link one contains and interview with HIDEO KOJIMA himself talking about the MGSX.....obviously its in the works: scroll down to the "Japanese xbox concerns" section and read:

www.msnbc.com

and link two contains a list of OFFICIALLY CONFIRMED xbox games:

www.msxbox.com

I will call yu on false statements every time dude.  You have just been victimized.

Well I am guessing you dream all the informtion up(because it is all false). Your shouting noting but believe in your entire post. Because MGSX has been confirmed. And someone from konami that makes the game  came out himself and said that MGSX would not even begin til they finished MGS2. So i don\'t know what all the fuse is about MGSX. We all know it has be an enhanced MGS2 OR a new MGS all together. The game won\'t even hit til end of 2002 I am guessing a year after MGS2 hits ps2.
