According to The Magic Box, The Japanese newspaper Yomiuri has reported that Squaresoft has spent 4 billion yen to develop their highly anticipated Final Fantasy X. On the flipside, Squaresoft plans to ship and sell 2 million copies on day one, which would total 17.6 billion yen in profit to Squaresoft.
We\'ll find out how well the most anticipated Japanese title of the summer sells when it hits Japanese retail on July 19th.

well i dont doubt that it will, man, square will get a ton of money from final fantasy X.......
that is amazing, the japenese areso exited about this game, it is what they play all the time, remember the ps2 launch? imagine if 3/4 of the people in japan that bought a ps2 bought FFX, that would cause what we call a "shortage"
