So i quit my job today

i had this job that i hated, im well over qualified for it ( as have a diploma in engineering and good g.c.s.e.s) and i only took the job till i get called up. well the manager does nothing and i have to all the work, but the store is dead and i hate it soo much, they said i need the 5th off as it my neices christaing (spelt wrong) and im the godfather, they were like you might not be able to have it off, also wanted me to work a 12 hour shift, i as like no way, well in the end i said i quit took my work top off chucked it at the manager and went home and drunk some beer :D i thought my mum was gonna kick my  butt, but they seemed happy, cos they knew how much i hated it......got2 to get a new job now, ill go looking tomorrow

Good job. Life is too short to do something that you hate. My "real" job is okay, but I want to make a living doing what I enjoy, which is writing.

My main job is good,I only do weekends for that now since I took up this summer thing to be able to work with my friends......and I hate my boss so much you wouldn\'t belive it,I made a thread about it a while ago where I blew off some steam.

All I can say is,I\'m happy for you,and belive me......I\'ll be quitting soon.

Be sure to get in his face when you do. I hate people like that so fricking much, just thinking about your story makes me want to rip his godd*mn head off.

Make sure to dig up some knowledge from somewhere on something that he couldn\'t possibly understand (even something you couldn\'t, but just say whatever is there). Maybe that will affect how he treats him employees from now on.

But don\'t go too far, don\'t give him any video game stuff or he could try and tell you the Atari Jaguar is the machine that has unsurpassed realism.;)

Well, it\'s not really cool to just blow the boss off you know. What if you want to get another job.. And they ask for references? You can list your old job and yeah. It\'s not bad quitting, but you should leave on a good note. :D It\'s better to make friends.. That way, you can get stuff. haha

Heh, this reminds me of last night. My local cinema ran some \'old\' Academy Award winning movies, which included American Beauty, which I had (unfortunatly) never seen before. So I decided to catch the theatrical run while I had the chance. And I\'m glad I did! It was really good... heh, I felt all worked up when I left the theatre. :D

If someone here hasn\'t seen the movie yet - go rent it!

I guess u & me are now in the same situation, I\'m looking for a job too, in fact I\'m applying I hope they\'ll take me :D

It\'s my first real job but I know if I don\'t like it, I\'ll be brave & quit! Just like you.
