S-Video Problems
« on: July 20, 2001, 11:23:49 AM »
Hi all,

sorry to say my first post had to be a question, I got my self a PS2 recently and bought the Sony Official S-Video cables (monster ones they are) and as my TV (a JVC 28WFT1) has the S-Video ports on the front of the TV I got myself a scart block with S-Video inputs.

The only problem is the picture is black and white - tried both colour outputs on the PS2 and all 3 scart sockets on the TV but with no luck. I was wonderng if anyone could shed any light on the issue

Thanks

this may sound silly but there may be a button on the controller for the tv that makes it go into the correct scart socket, eg if you have 3 scart sockets, even though it can sense the pic its in black and white, or maybe you got it through something else(sky or video) turn them off, even if it is straight into tv, try turning off the sky box and or vcr. hopes it helps

Yeah, my TV has 3 video channels and 2 ANY channels. WHen I plugged it in it took me 10 minutes to find out it was on channel 1.
