Thanks for replying. I really appreciate it.
I haven\'t got a ps2 memory card just yet! I will definately buy it sometime later. I notice the ps2 controller is the same as psx \'s controller but weight much lighter and the wire is smaller. I also played back some psone games and I tried the effects to slightly enhanced the psx graphic and speed. I played FFVIII and you know it took the game 5 - 8 seconds to load a scene, with the ps2, I set the speed to fast and texture to smooth and see if i could detect any difference. There is, the most obvious is the load speed, Finally Fantasy 8 load time have been cut by half or 3 to 4 seconds long. You know the game Chrono Cross, well there is no need to worry about load time at all, only 1- 3 seconds for psx and the difference between ps2 and psx isn\'t really that dramatic. also, the game moves faster too, as if it was meant that way psx games are usually at 30 hz (or 30 frame per second at most) but ps2 is at 60hz, and playing psx games on ps2 making psx games move faster by fast fowarding the game speed to 2 times., ( you know what i meant, when you watch a videotape, and you push fast foward button). good thing is playing ff8, you travel around the world. well, the time is cut by half ot get to where you want to be because Squall is moving 2 times faster than he should be. the texture, well, well, with the texture on to smooth, the ff8 game looks slightly better. the difference is not really dramatic. the color on some characters outfits look blocky with texture, it smooth and blur it out making it look cleaner. So is the bumpy grass background, its no longer look bumpy and blocky anymore but flat and smoother (kind of like Nintendo 64 which also have a texture and other effects which the psx lack off). the graphic could be mistaken n64 graphic thanks to texture. so its the pop up, with texture mapping on, some of the pop up is reduce.
anyway, i wonder why the ps2 audio cd and dvd-video is lacking the option of "repeat", "repeat all", "program", and "shuffle".
Did anybody hear connect their ps2 to a receiver using the digital optical cable for clearest sound? I have a 5.1 dts and dd receiver but it in my living room connect to my standalone dvd player, and my ps2 is in my bedroom. I did connect it for a while to hear the difference and it sound much clearer and slightly louder with the minus sizzling. But i plug it back to my bedroom\'s tv.
