Ign has released their opinion on the top 25 games of all time for the psx.  They state that the list is only game from 2000 or before.

Here they are:

25.Tenchu: Stealth Assassins
24.Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo
23.Final Fantasy Tactics
22.Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete
21.Medal of Honor
20.Crash Bandicoot: Warped
19.Syphon Filter
18.Final Fantasy VII

16.Parappa The Rapper
15.Madden NFL 2000
14.Silent Hill
13.Wipeout XL
12.Driver
11.Tekken 3
10.R4: Ridge Racer Type 4
9.Street Fighter Alpha 3
8.Ape Escape
7.Final Fantasy VIII

I have a few disagreements on the list but overall i think its pretty good, what do u people think?

Thats exactly what i thought, they said that FFVIII had everything VII did but made it better.... ya right.

Thats one of the first things i noticed too, but then i read at the top of the page that its all games before 2000...... im asuming thats the reason.

They should kick Grandia off the list and replace it with Suikoden.  I also think the original Gran Turismo was better than its sequel.  And why are FFT and MoH so low on the list?  They\'re a lot better than most of the games that are closer to #1.

although, naturally i disagree with many things, but, FF7 definately should have been higher

...and which parts of Ape Escape and Ridge Racer Type 4 are better than Final Fantasy VII and Silent Hill?

I bought R4 simply for the updated Ridge Racer that was included. Now there is a kick @ss game.
