good thread :)

First of all i\'d have to take Zelda 3: A Link to the Past. One of the shining titles on the system, and for a system with so many that really says something. This game took the series to new heights, and provided some of the best 2-D adventure gaming on the little grey box

Super Mario Kart- A simple, yet uncontrollably addictive and fun game. It just had so much going for it, and it didn\'t  take itself too seriously. Great fun, and the battle mode just owned.

Super Metroid: One of my favourite games of all time, and probably my favourite ever 2D sidescrolling game. I can\'t tell you how much time I\'ve spent on this game. I ended up just going to see how fast I could finish it (I ended up getting 2 hours 3 minutes on two occasions! That\'s a damn good record!). UNBELIEVABLY good gameplay, and just all round coolness

Donkey Kong Country: Another great step in 2-D gaming. Absolutely brilliant graphics, a game which pushed the SNES harder than it had ever been pushed before, and just all round fun gameplay

Equinox: I loved the first game in the series (solstice on the NES), and this game bettered it times 1000. EXCELLENT soundtrack, some of my fave ever in game music, it was so ambient and went so well with the game. Excellent puzzles generated with timing and eye tricks. VERY cool game

No time to list more, i will later
Probably the earliest flyswatters were nothing more than some sort of striking surface attached to the end of a long stick.

4. Final Fantasy II: Great game, not quite as good as the rest though
5. Yoshi\'s Island: One of the best 2D platformers ever

Yeah Earthbound was cool, also Secret of Mana, it was the game that really got me into RPG\'s.  I was like 9 when it came out so I really just look at the pictures to decide what game to rent.  Those were the days,  and behold I rented a game so astounding in my opinion that after buying it and selling it I went back out a year later and bought it again.

other great games

super mario world
zelda: a link to the past
super metroid
f-zero
super mario RPG
starfox
super punch-out
chrono trigger

there are many games on SNES I love (still more on Genny though, of course :D)

1. Street Fighter Alpha 2 - nuff said, faithful translation on a 16-bit and an addictive game all around.

2. Chrono Trigger - tied for best RPG ever.

3. Final Fantasy 3 - the last classic FF

4. Mario Kart - great memories playing this while listening to the Singles soundtrack.

5. Super Play Action Football - hehehe, making high school teams pink and yellow = classic

6. Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo - althoguh not the best version of the game, the button set-up was the best.

7. Super Mario World - duh.
