Ahh, Liverpool - my favourite team. Still wont finish ahead of man utd next year, not with Veron and Van Nistelrooy anyway, maybe in a few years but i doubt it - besides, fifa rankings mean jack $hit and how you can be ahead of manu when you loose to ipswich and middlesbro, i dont know!!!

Ah yes, that\'d be appreciated!!! :)

However, this bygone era of tight jerseys and lambchop sideburns may scare some of our younger members of this forum. :)

Here\'s to Wednesday, though!

cos man utd only won the league, while liverpool won a lot more. so what if we lose to middlesborough, its only one game a season(the league) is made of 38 games, and did man utd lose to derby and tottenham and other teams, also they were very bad in europe. I think we could win it next year, teams now are not afraid to play man utd, after they done the treble teams were scared of them and lost b4 the kick off, now teams arent as much, if you look at the teams that tried ala liverpool, and teams in europe, you actually find they have a good chance of winning. plus yeah man utd have new players but they got2 settle in, so may start not as good as they wanted!!!!!!

I know, that would be somewhat akin to a team winning the league but also losing to Derby County and West Ham both at home in front of 60,000 typically quiet fans (muching on some nice prawn sandwiches), and that would just be nutty......[cough]

Maybe Liverpool were ahead of Manure in the rankings because they beat them TWICE last season and won three trophies. You might want to look into that for a reason...
