Where is our next female rock hero???

I was reading an article calling Courtney Love a female rock hero for our generation. Which generation is that? As a girl, I have to say that she is the LAST person I would consider a rock hero. So I am asking everyone. Who is the next female rock hero? Don\'t tell me Madonna, Alanis or anyone else who doesn\'t ROCK!!!

If your question is "who is our next female rock hero who ROCKS!!!" then my question to you is who was our last female rock hero who ROCKED?  I mean, none of them ever rocked, recently.  You\'d seriously have to go back to Heart in the 1970s.  They definitely "rocked," but I can\'t think of anyone else.  I wouldn\'t count Courtney Love because she\'s terrible.  Those other women you mentioned are just pop acts; not what I would call rock and roll.  There are many women musicians I like, but none of them seem to favor rock as far as I can tell.

I’ve got one for ya.  I read about this hard-rocker chick named Lennon in the Tennessean who got a record deal with Arista the week her mother died of a severe allergic reaction.  She’s like 19 years old and beautiful, but tough and knows exactly what she wants and how to get it.  Her story reminds me a lot of Shania Twain’s.  MTV’s Kurt Loder is a big fan of hers ~ I don’t know if that’s how she got her record deal, but I checked her out online and I think she could be like another Kittie or Hole type, only better.  She’s got photos and music clips at http://www.lennononline.com

Hmmm, why does someone always have to die for someone else to get a record deal?  (who do I have to kill?)  Well, I hope it was worth it.  You’re right though ~ she is beautiful and she has a Korn meets Fiona Apple thing going.  I’ve been wondering myself what happened to the Lita Fords of the biz.  Maybe this Lennon girl will start it up again.

Yeah ~ that’s what I’m talkin’ ‘bout!  Beautfiul, Smart and Sassy!!… Ask and ye shall receive… Lennon is a good handle for a female metal act too.  I don’t think I’ve ever heard of a woman with that first name.  So, the music rocks… when is she gonna do a video?

I’m glad you’re diggin’ Lennon.  It’s no coincidence she reminds you of  Korn and Fiona Apple.  She’s into them and also Deftones, Tool, Ani Difranco, Pearl Jam and Aerosmith.  She’s touring with The Cult, which is one of my favs, so I’m hoping to catch that one and find out what she’s like in a live show.
