Puzzle: Resurrection.
« on: July 25, 2001, 03:49:37 PM »

Yes my friends, "Puzzle" is back.

.
.
.

This go around, I\'m asking for additional questions from YOU.  Got any brainteasers or word puzzles?  Let me know!  PM me your brainteasers and I\'ll stick them in the next round!

.
.
.

But what about my previous record?
It\'s gone, wiped away, kaput.  The only thing that remains is the fact ps2gamer_59 was last rounds champion.

Who will face up to the wrath that is ps2gamer_59?
Who will prove their brainy worth?
Who put the bop in the bop shu-wop shu-wop?

All will be answered soon in. . .

Here\'s a puzzle: This morning I heated my glass of milk in the microwave, for more than 30 seconds but less than one minute. I accidentally pressed one of the digits twice. If I had ignored that slip and proceeded to press the Start button, I would have heated my milk for exactly four minutes longer than I had intended. Assume that my microwave is smart enough to reinterpret times such as 90 seconds as 1 minute and 30 seconds. How long did I intend to heat my milk, and what was the mistake?

44 seconds, you hit an extra 4.  444, when typed in a microwave, is 4 minutes, 44 seconds.  That\'s 4 minutes over.

If you want the queston to go into the game, please PM me the question, do not post it on the board.  Don\'t worry, I\'ll give credit where credit is due.

No. My intended answer was 39 seconds, which I initially mis-entered as 3:99. The microwave would have reinterpreted it as 4:39. I should have stated that the number was odd.

Well it looks like 39 and 44 will work.  Oh well, better luck next time.

Anyways. . . THE GAME HAS STARTED!
