PSM reviews ICO

There hasn\'t been a lot of printed coverage of ICO, so it\'s refreshing to see a beautiful 5 page spread.  And as an added bonus, they announced that the October issue will have a PS2-only disk (in collaboration with PS Underground) of a demo of the game (and others), and in the December issue, another PS2-only disk with a begind-the-scenes look and and interview with Kenji Kaido.

From my reading of the article, ICO is looking absolutely amazing (as if you didn\'t know that ).

I can\'t wait for the DVD coming in the next issue!

It is amazing.
I own the demo.
Its stunning to say the least.
Its easily the best looking game  the PS2 right now.
I mean even the basic cloud monster badguys which seem noral are awesome when you look at how they move.
And then you see the water effects.
Oh god, the water effects.
Seriously, B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L.

They reviewed an unfinished copy, I think, so there\'s no "score" yet.  Probably a beefed up version of the demo.  I guess it\'s more of a preview than a review, but the article kept on using present tense (ICO is this) instead of the usual preview format (ICO will have that).

My best answer is a pre-review, the closest thing to a review before a final copy can be played.

ICO is scheduled for release this month.  Why couldn\'t it be a Review?  Oh, and thatrs the official PS mag not PSM.

Sorry, I was abbreviating.  I should have said: OPSM.  And the copy they played wasn\'t a completely finished disk, so they were cautioned to give a numerical value.

Troglodyte, I just got the SummerJampack demo and I played ICO!  This game is one of the best I\'ve played in a long time.  Even if I had a stick to fight off the black clouds or what ever it is, it was a blast.  The best part that got to me was that you hold the girl by the hand and run or to do your fighting.  You even help her up walls.  The water effects is so amazing!!  I jump in the water to see the water movements and its like real!!!  I\'m picking up this game!!!

I think the wood plank is the first of a few weapons you can get your hands on in the game.  

I\'m waiting for the demo in OPM, $5 is too rich for my blood!

Thanks for the review, I too will be a "30-minute puddle jumper" just to marvel at the details in the game.  This will more than tidy me over untill FFX shows up in English.

ICO is sounding better and better with each person who reviews the demo! hmm, i guess ill check it out on ign, thanks guys, another $50 for me to spend =)
