I carnt believe how many good games are comming out for the PS2!!!

The 20 million # means nothing to me because I could care less about how much a system sold because it\'s only the games that count.

For having 400 titles in thw works I must say I\'m not impressed. MGS2, ICO, DMC, Kloana 2, J&D, FFXI, and Silent 2 are the only PS2 that I\'m interested in. Take out the insanely irratating random battles in FFX and I\'ll be interested in that too. Not very good if you ask me.

And just so no one flames me, for NGC, I\'m only interested in Luigi\'s Mansion(if there\'s more to it than we see right now which is most likely), Pikmin, Eternal Darkness(extremely interested in this one), Too Human, Mario, Zelda, PD2, and Kameo. Heh, pretty much even actually. The 200$ price tag leans me over the most though...

Anyways, my point is people will have different opinions. I believe NGC will be the best in the long run but I can\'t speak for everyone. You think PS2 will be the best for your respective reasons but some may disagree. Some people prefered Genesis over SNES even though it out-sold it, some people think Saturn is the best console of all time, some people are ****ed up,etc. This just shows you that sales really don\'t matter at all. However there is no way PS2 is the "best" console of this generation. It might be the best to you, but one person cannot and never will be able to speak for everyone.

Sorry, it´s a kinda speek. I´m sure I´m not offended anyone, am I? Yes, for me, PS2 will be the winner... and for you GC. ok, no problem... the time will tell us what´s true.

PD: english, like you well said, isn´t my native language, so I try to speak all better I can. I don´t use translator and I´ve only took 4 years of it in High School (3 hours per week) so my english as you can see is not perfect. Sometimes I say things that they´re fine for me but not for real english speakers cause many expressions and vocabulary are very hard to me.

Do you want speak in spanish between us without translators? j/k

Personally I\'m interested in quality and I get excited when I see a game with the "potential" futures,concepts,.., I really like...so I\'m looking at Devil May Cry,Ico,J&D,Virtua Fighter 4,Tekken 4,MGS2,Silent Hill 2,TM:B,The Getaway,etc..and that\'s the reason why I\'m so excited(rather than a list of 400 games) but...again...a huge quantity and variety of games are always welcome

I constantly have to argue with my couple of friends who are very anti PS2. I converted two of my friends who used to despise PS2 and trying to get me to get Game Cube. They say how it sucks and no good games are coming out and when the Game Cube comes out that it will die because everyone is going to get it. They have no idea on the quality of the games and how many good games that are coming out. One said that after Metal Gear Solid 2 comes out that there is nothing to look forward to and the system will die. I try to explain it but they are too thick sculled. I don\'t know too many games coming out but I am making a list that I am itching to get hold of. Here are definite gets

20 million may not mean nothing to you jumpman, but to 3rd parties and sony it means a lot.  That there console is domniated and has control of the market, til M$ or nintendo beats them.  SO imo I think ps2 is going to beat out M$ and nintendo, due to time and AAA titles.:thepimp: :thepimp:

we know the most games are mutiplatform and we all know the xbox version kicks the ps2s butt.

If the Xbox is getting the "Director\'s Cut" of the game, your right, it is better. But by how much? A simply graphical upgrade won\'t get me to run out and get the Xbox now, would it?

And 20 million PS2s ensure developer support. With it, AAA games. Now, you can argue how many of the games, now or coming, are AAA games, but IMO, looking at the list of promising looking games (in another forum, I had at least 20 games off the top of my head alone! ), I\'d say the PS2 has a bright future. Even if it isn\'t all 400 games, or even half that...which no one expect to be all good. Besides, how many games do people buy anyways? 400 games at $50 a pop, thats $20,000. Somehow, I doubt anyone would buy all 400 games.

Not to mention, anyone who mentions Xbox games are better then PS2 games, well, none are out yet, and all you have, is the promise of these games being good on the Xbox. As you know, not all games that tout itself as great, and so forth, wind up that way.

slighly my arse,the loading times are reason enough to own the xbox version over ps2s.
