For the past 10 years (probably even before that), games were designed to load up a level before you play on it instead of while you\'re playing on it. It will take time for developers to adjust, but they will eventually. Either that, or completely ignore the PS2\'s 15 million userbase and go program on an easier-to-program-for console.
Eventually? Don\'t you mean as long as PS2 has a bigger installed base right? Because if GCN and Xbox catch up with the PS2 sales-wise, what makes you think that developers will want to bother. Like the Saturn, the PS2 has a lot of potential, but if there are other viable (easier and cheaper) solutions out there, what makes you think that developers will waste their time learning how to do these things?
