Well expect to stay poor til the year 2004 AT LEAST
« on: August 17, 2001, 01:43:13 AM »
Well this USA has been on a slump every since bush got into the white house...some ppl try and say it was always going to happen seems how the country was the same way when his dad was in office...

Well over 50,000 u.s blue and white collar jobs have been slashed and more is on the way.

I mean here in the motor city I mean the auto market took a huge hit. thousands lost jobs..and that caused more to lose jobs.

And SCEA just announced they will slashing a undisclosed amoun of U.S jobs because of 250million profit lost and slow sales of it\'s products(excluding ps2 they where talking about it\'s money makng products)They named then walkman, pc, stuff like that.

Ford motor corp announced another slash of 5000 white collar jobs.

Dell computer is too be cutting jobs because of slow us pc sales.

I mean you can\'t count how many companies have been slashes jobs..and this idiot in office is off some where vacationing.

THE BIG.COM crash happen soon as Bush took over. It just seems like this guy knows absolutely nothing.

I say your best bet is too leave the country for 4 years and come back during election time

Yeah, because the economy was great up until January.  It\'s amazing how bad it\'s been since.  Oh, wait a second, it was last year when the economy fell.  Crap.  There has to be a way we can blame Bush for that.

Oh, and have fun spending your refund check.

It was not as bad as it is now..companies were not losing as much profit. And breaking firing records like they are now...
And as for the refund check thing...I enjoyed the 300bucks but that still does not make up for all the crap..now 1200 maybe.

The dot e-conomy was collapsing during the Clinton regime. And if you took even a half decent look at it, you\'d know that it wouldn\'t matter who was in the white house, the entire dotcom economy was fatally flawed in its very execution. The Economy as a whole is recessing. It\'s exploded in the last ten years, but the growth could not last forever. It\'s just a natural part of things. We\'re not in any huge trouble, in fact, we\'re doing better since Bush got in. Gas prices have dropped a large amount. And that rebate check was very welcome:)

Imagine if Al Gore were president... after all the restrictions and regulations he\'d put on the Petroleum industry, we\'d likely be paying over $2/Gallon of gas. (here it\'s about $1.25/G)

Well every economi analyst has said this econmy is in a recession. There have been 20x the amount of layoffs since he got in office...and as for gas pricess well they are no were near where they where last year, but just what 2 or 3 month ago gas was sky high we where paying 2.20 a gallon over here...This gas pricess had to fall...IT had nothing to do with bush a lot of political ppl took action aganst the high gas pricess. If you don\'t recall he dodge the question of high gas pricesses every chance he got...so don\'t give him the credit for that a lot of news and media polititionspoliticians stood up aganist all these high gas prices so bush gets no credit on that.

I think gas prices should be raised. It\'d inspire more efficient fuels to be created, and get more people aware of how fuel needs to be conserved. Well worth it in the long term, all that lowering it does is quiet SUV drivers of today.

The rebate check wasn\'t that great of a plan in my opinion; again, it makes people happy today, but in the long term there were better things they could have invested in.

Not that Bush is that bad, I just disagree with a few things he has done. People shouldn\'t blame him for the slower economy, there\'s many factors behind that.

The economy isn\'t Bushes or Clintons fault, it is something that evolved over the last 4 years, the dot-com phenomena had a ceiling, and now it is coming down, only the companies with a sound business plan will survive,... I think it was as unavoidable as death in Texas. ;)  VC were giving huge sums of money for stupid ideas, (no business plan) as long as you had a flashy dot-com name...

NEWSFLASH:
Who holds the presidency does not have a damn thing to do with gaining or losing a job.  Does George Bush sign your paycheck?

The dotcom failure is due to too many entries in the market and their over-inflated stock values, something that the US government has no control over as we keep business and government separate entities; otherwise we would be communists.

Nope, it has to be Bush\'s fault.  Only rational way to explain it.

Sincerely,
