Question about PS2 remotes
« on: August 21, 2001, 11:50:37 AM »
I\'m thinking of picking up the official Sony remote next month since it has good functionality and updated drivers (rumoured anyway).

Well, I was just wondering if it was possible to control the CD player function of the PS2 using the remote.  I know it probably isn\'t known about the official Sony remote but I figured if the other available 3rd party remotes supported it that it would be in the official Sony one too.

Anyway, does anyone know if you can control the CD player with it?  Thanks.

You can use the SONY Remote like a normal Joy-Pad... therefore you can use it also for the CD-Playback (like the normal Pad) !

The Official Sony Remote WILL work with the CD Player too, it will work like a proper CD player remote would, you\'ll be able to use the number buttons to choose track etc

so until its a "FACT" in other words..OFFICIALLY announced by SONY, its STILL a rumor. i think i should ask the SONY REP the next time he stops by

Is information from the Official Australian Playstation site good enough proof for you?
