its not that i \'want blood\'...but its the whole censorship issue that disturbs me....its pathetic....i could go the whole game shooting people with darts and never have to see blood for all i care...but the fact that it had to be toned down for \'the north amerikan release\'..really gets under my skin....

I read a post at IGN where a mother had took this dudes copy of MGS2 demo and smashed it because she came into the room while he was destroying a guard

he went on to say how he wanted to see how bloody red he could  paint the hallway


This is exactly the kind of thought process that is getting games censored. No parent wants to see their kid  laughing satanically while pumping unlimited shells into a human in an attempt to create as much gore as they possibly can. This would upset any caring parent

Add in all the violence we see in American schools and you can expect to see games get censored more wether its the real cause or not.

Yeah, it is understandable... and I am sure that Konami also doesn\'t want to be under any of that fire that the video game market is getting here in the states.

Given how I like to play games, I probably have the game censored.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm...I wonder, if actually killing all the gaurds in site or what not will activate the censor. Afterall, more "mature" and "older" players would probably use more stealth and strategy instead of blowing everyone up, right? Though, in some cases, (like me. :shy: ) that isn\'t always the case.

this is just another case of people trying to find something to blame there problems on. parents are to lazy to raise there children so they let movies and games raise them. then when the kid goes on a shooting spree they want to blame doom or some other game. does it ever occur to these idiots that maybe games and tv had nothing to do with there childs violent behavior and that maybe there child is just screwed in the head. i\'m grown and the fact i may be forced to play a watered down version of mgs2 just because some 12 year old may be to dumb to tell the diffrence between games and real life makes me . i just don\'t get people today they never want to blame people for there actions. they always want to blame something or someone else to hear all these spinless liberals talk you would think that there was never a violent crime before videgames. crime was around before video games and it will be around after they are gone.

Lets see, i think i might have a chance at the non-censored experience, why? cause i play real stealthy and don\'t kill as many guards as i could yeah that\'s it... :rolleyes: i think this technology might be flawed.

That sucks. Painting the walls red was half of the fun. Sure it may be a bit violent and parents might not like it, If they dont they shouldnt let thier kids play such games. Or i think that they should have a lower toned version and a hard core version. let the parents decide which one to get.

It would be kinda funny if the demo offered somethin the original didnt.  mgs2 will still be a good game without the blood but it just wont be as realistic or fun torturing guards.

I\'m sure Hideo Kojima will find a way to please everyone with MGS2.  That\'s good enough for me.
