Madden 2002 troubles

Anybody having this problem. After play selection the game freezes up. It lasts for 20-30 seconds then you can run 1 play. Then it freezes up again. Of course I am one of the thousands that have the hated "disc read error", it loads after only a couple of tries. Most of my games take forever to load, but once they do load they play for hours without a problem.  Any ideas? Thanks.

You need a CD/DVD  lens cleaner.Clears the problem right up.
