Well, I played Tekken 4 and...

chill out guys. I won\'t comment on gameplay, because you guys know how Tekken will play and YOU guys know I don\'t like the gameplay.

And yes, I went to FFC to play T4 because it is new and I give every game a chance, but I don\'t think I will be putting in too many more of my hard earned tokens on that machine.

The graphics are not impressive, you can decide for yourself how you like the gameplay.

Gameplay wise. If DOA3 and VF4 are like its previous games, we all know that there is no way it can be as good as T4, it wouldnt even be able to compete ( the graphics would be able to .) People have different opinions on this game. You gotta play the game yourself to see if you like it or not. I think the gameplay is ALRIGHT, it still plays like the same tekken so there isnt anything really suprising. The graphics IS impressive ( WHO CARES IF THE WATER DOESNT HAVE REFLECTION? ). Only thing I dont like about it so far is paul\'s d+1 2. We know its cheap but you can get around it, and hopefully it will get fixed in a new version.

I\'m sorry, but T4 graphics are far from impressive. From the movies / pictures I\'ve seen the graphics will need a serious overhaul before they come home, because they look dated compared to VF4 or DOA3.

As for gameplay, that is all personal taste.

when it comes to game play i prefer tekken over other 3d fighters. as far as graphics go T4 will not be able to produce the same level of detail as vf4 due to the fact that vf4 uses more advanced hardware then T4.

You are wrong about that.  If VF4 looks better than Tekken 4, it is not because of the hardware.  In an interview a few months ago, the VF4 team said that the PS2 version of VF4 looked even better than the arcade version.  That means that the PS2 hardware is very capable of producing better graphics than what Tekken 4 has shown -- and Tekken 4 Arcade is on a souped-up PS2 with a lot more RAM.

So if the VF4 in the arcade looks better than Tekken 4 in the arcade (souped up PS2), and VF4 on the PS2 (normal PS2) looks better than VF4 in the arcade, it is just a problem with Namco, not the hardware.

Wow:eek: !!VF4 looks better on PS2?I didnt know that.But doesnt the Naomi2 board have 128MB of VRAM??How did they do that?

Unicron, because Sega, and more to the point, Yu Suzuki, puts ALOT of time into making their games be the great looking, great playing games that they are.

To tell you the truth, when Namco released the T4 pics, I thought I was seeing VF3tb pics with different pics. And that was on the Model 3 board, 4 years old.

Sega can do alot with the medium they are given. Namco just rushed the product to get it out so it could compete with VF4 in Japan, which it never really had the chance to (look at the charts)

It doesn\'t matter what it looks like, it\'s what it plays like, and it\'ll play like any other Tekken. What does that mean? That it\'ll sell like the other Tekken games. As for the graphics, as long as they\'re better than TTT and it has different arenas then (most) people won\'t mind.
When it comes to the PS2 it should be better than the one you played. It\'ll have slightley better graphics (I think), it\'ll have a story line, you won\'t have to carry on putting those coins in that machine and they\'ll be a mini game. There better be a mini game anyway! If there is, does anybody know what it is?

None of the tekken games ever had amazing graphics. Tekken rests all of its strengths in the gameplay. As long as Namco didn\'t drastically change the controls, then the game will rock.

Go play the game in the cades\', then comment about about the graphics. If you think that is far from impressive then you just dont like tekken, or dont know what good graphics is.

Graphics do play their own distinct role.Thats why we get improved hardware as time passes dont we?Ofcourse gameplay is what makes a game trully a game.
BTW:T4 doesnt look dated imo.Its just not perfect(graphically speaking).Tekken4 is the first fighting IMO to include huge free roaming stages.DOA3 is divided into free roaming sections,VF4 is also divided into sections(like DOA2 and 3 you ve got to hit your opponent to a breakable wall repeatedly in order to go further in the backround).I think that makes T4\'s development harder to focus on and better the graphics.

Well I got my eyez on tekken 4.  At wizards arcade down here.(They get every game) And it look a lot like TTT to me. It seemed like you where playing TTT2 or something. Some of the stages looked ok but it did not look anything close to doa3.

I did not play the game I just watched. It had the same old tekken gameplay. Just like others have said if you marked out or TTT then you will mark out for T4.

That\'s not what I\'ve heard from people who actually played it.  The gameplay is way different now.  People are saying it\'s a mix between DOA and Soul Calibur.  A lot of people don\'t like the new gameplay because it\'s so different, but others love the gameplay.

I guess it just me or something..because it seemed like regular old tekken to me...I sure could not see anything that didn\'t make me think I was looking at the same old tekken.  All those game seem the same to me anyways.
