One of the most talked about GameCube demonstrations at Space World 2000 was the FMV of Wave Race. Essentially the pre-rendered footage was nothing more than a confirmation that the game existed. Subsequently nearly every Nintendo fan rejoiced. Wave Race was back and would no doubt be looking better than ever. The assumptions of glory proved true with the onslaught of E3 2001, where Nintendo demonstrated Wave Race: Blue Storm (working title) to the awaiting public. The new wave effects, solid framerate, and improved control easily delivered on fans\' expectations.

Comparing the water to splashdown. . .its a tuffy. I want to say I think splash down looks better but I think that may be bias. Anyone have an opinion?

I think they look pretty similar although Wave Race perhaps looks a little better mainly coz it has reflections in the water.

wow, IMHO i would have to say that waverace looks way better, mainly because of the relections in the water but there are also some other contributors.
