IGN\'s Official News Story

Quote
Along with its big news of new titles coming in 2002, From Software sends out an update today on King\'s Field IV, its 3D first-person RPG coming to Japan by the end of the year, and the states early in 2002. Today we have several new wallpaper images, featuring the grim medieval environments of From\'s fantasy world, and a new MPEG trailer movie depicting various scenes of combat, magic, and the like.

Dark, cloudy trailer 6.9mb

The trailer seems interesting enough but the graphics and old Kings Field gameplay might prevent me from getting this one.
\"An Act of Kindness is never given too soon because you never know when too soon will become too late.\"
\"Whats my problem!?! I dont have a problem. I have problemsss, plural.\"

I actually thought that the trailer I saw before were pretty cool looking in the graphics department! :D

I saw the trailer with the zombie in it, thought it was ok.

It ain\'t the graphics that gets me though, its gameplay.  I recently rediscovered Daggerfall, an excellent, but dated, First Person RPG.  To me, this is the standard that all must compete with, at least in the single-player experience.  It features a huge world and complete and total freedom to do whatever the hell you want.  It has a broad, general story to complete, but many, many side quests as well.  Plus, you can totally customize your character, not to mention their loyalties, jobs, even their personalities!

King\'s Field might be good, but, I need something more to my game than what I experienced on the PS1 with this franchise.  Let\'s hope that game-makers get on the ball!  We got a great system here, lets use it!  :D

PS- I\'ve been gone for a looong time, but, I\'m gonna make it a point to come around more often!  I miss this board!  :D
Let those who stand for tyranny and injustice fear the hell the United States will unleash upon them.
