Sega GT 2002 screens(XBOX)...

Yeah, they suck. When this title comes out, GT4 will be also out, with better graphics

Better graPHICS!!!! WHAT ARE YOU SMOKING????? PP said they had maxed out the PS2. Also XBOX is much much more powerful than psx2, it can handle better textures, more poly\'s and and real-time effects unlike GT3 for PS2.

If Sega spends a good amount of development time on SEGA gt for XBOX it will blow GT4 away in the graphics department, just like PG is doing.

As for gameplay only time will tell, but I have faith in SEGA, hopefully they pull through.

Just so you know, GT4 hasn\'t even been announced yet.  The only new GT game that has been announced is GT online -- which most likely will be GT3 with an online feature.

Now that would be fun to play, but if SOny allows 56k users to go aganist cable or DSL users, that would suck.

snapo out of it for just a tiny second ALtered Beast.  I know you cannot actually think that their is something in these shots or the movie thast distinguishes itself from GT3 in  much of anyway

Your entitled to an opinion, but its painfully obvious that your wish for any Sega product to stand out over anything else particulalry PS2 regardless of system  is clouding your ability to make a rational statement based on obvious truths

Nothing at allin  these Sega GT screens does much of anything to show up anything else. The textures are ok, but nothing jaw dropping, the backgrounds are plain and there are  lots of  flat textures . Signs are blurry

and the shot of the stadium has a great lookto it, but it still does very little if anything to distinguish itself from GT3

They didnt say they maxed out the PS2 with GT3....You seem to understand only what you want.PD said thats what they could do with GT3 on PS2 at the moment.Find the link and read more carefully.

ddaryl, datamage agreed with what I said, about the textures.

Is he being biased, too? I am just saying, the GT3 backround textures are much, these look crisper.


You guys seem to get harder and harder to satisfy. ALl I remember was Sega GT had cpu AI that wasn\'t droned like GT3.

I have to be honest at this stage of Sega GT development I can\'t say I see much difference in Texture clarity

I do believe Sega GT will look considerably better by the time it ends its development, but from these screens and the movie at Gamespot I\'m not really noticing it. , and I\'m really straining to.

I watched the movie. Impressive except for one thing : the cars seemed exceptionally light. As in "No Weight".

No way an RX-7 could make a 180 turn on pavenment and grass and not slide backwards with all that momentum! The thing made a dead stop!

Needs more tweaking. Looks good so far.

Remember, Xbox is a newer technology than PS2. It better be better!

fair enough greenbow! it doesn’t really matter the next gt will not and can not look better than the next top-notch xbox racer that will come out around the same time. Xbox is just way more powerful than ps2.

Anyhow if SEGA puts alot of development time and money into this game they can get it to play just as good or maybe even better than gt3. This will all depend on weather sega is dedicated enough to make this game play better than gt3, obviously it will be better graphical wise, but will sega be motivated enough to make this game surpass GT3 gameplay wise???????

I hope they don\'t rush this one, and work long and hard on it, although i\'m betting it\'s going to be released sometime in 2002, which if they do means they didn\'t spend enough time, unless they pull a rabbit out of there hat.

No one said the next GT will look better than the next top-notch Xbox racer...it\'s obvious...Xbox has better hardware...

:eek: ...play better?  or play different?...SegaGT 2002 won\'t be a GT clone...they are two different games...they are not comparable!  I\'m sure the sega racer will have a great gameplay but the game experience will be different...more in the "arcade style" !  It\'s a matter of taste...and it\'s difficult,in general,to say...this gameplay is better than the other...it\'s more...I prefer this game experience rather than the other...

...and what about graphics...sure the sega one will push more polys with better texturing,lighting,shading etc but don\'t forget the realism,how the cars move and turn in a credible way...I mean...try to half-close your eyes when you\'re watching GT3...it seems a real race !

XBOX isnt the most perfect console because its graphically the most superior.
Dreamcast is the weakest but it\'s got some of the greatest games.

That\'s cause PS2 was a rushed out peice of hardware just like Teken 4!!!!!!!!!!! I mean look at GT3 no matter how high the poly count the image has a rough look to it, just read my sig. Also I own Gt3 and I can tell you that it is the best looking ps2 game but the graphics do not have a silky smooth look to them, compared the say PG.  

Gt3 is a good sim, I just wonder what sega will do in order to make there game more appealing game-play wise.

GT3 doesnt look rough to me.I see an ad of the game and every time I look at it I forgot its the same ad I saw before.Because its realistic.Almost like the real think.And super smooth.
