Ben Mishima and Shinjin have reported that Violet (aka Lee Chaolan) is the next time release character for Tekken 4. It seems that a machine in the UK was the first to go online out of the time release synced Tekken 4 boards for the European and US markets and it turns out it even gets it\'s time release character one day before the first Japanese machines do.
Jin takes place across from the Random Select box and now Violet is selectabe by random only. Violet is actually Lee Chaolan undercover of purple, even his hair is purple. We\'ll have more Violet details and most likely a preview movie when he becomes selectable to us as well.
It looks like that Korean rumor is right. For those of you who don\'t know the Korean rumor, it goes a little like this: The Korean government wouldn\'t let Namco sell their arcade in Korea unless they saw everything that was in the game. An inside source in Korea posted all of the characters that were in the game. Because they were all released at once, they didn\'t know in which order the characters would be released. I hate how this rumor is true.
There aren\'t any new characters.
For those of you who don\'t want to wait and see who will be in Tekken 4, here is the Korean rumor and all of the characters:

Okay, this is a rumor from some guy in Korea who claims that he played the test version with all characters unlocked. He talked about the character moves, etc. Oh yeah, did i say this was a rumor? So don\'t go crazy or anything. [translated by DUK2000]

Violet is EXACT same as Lee.. I think he is Lee hiding his name. He just looks like Lee.

Original custume from TK3 and a new training custume
something like boxers wear for training. He has changed a lot and looks like a brand new character. Remember the White Heron move? That move is GONE.
3,4 motions are changed completely. Wgf, Ewgf still exists but it won\'t juggle! The damage has gone up tho. power is around paul\'s deathfist normal hit. Of course it hits high range so you can duck -_- even in CH it doesnt juggle. WAVEDASH for jin IS GONE. I guess he can do up to 1 or 2 waves max. But there is crouch dash cancel uppercut or stuff like that. b+4 has changed to b,b+4. b+4 is a new move i think. When it hits it knocks down the opponent. Hellsweep became really slow. However, a new move came out which is very good. d+4, that supposedly has long range and catches SS motions (new type of hellsweep).
f,f+1+2 grab has changed a lot in motion.
d/f+1,4 - new chain, fast mid-low.
new move f+1+2 - fast two straights

1p custume is the sumo fit and that was no joke lol
2p custume is the black training custom from tekken2. Everything is same (his moves) except his wgf when it\'s hit the opponent just gets knockdown .. something like that, no juggle.
Steve
He has the fastest punch moves.. and he is one of the best. He\'s ducking stance avoids high hits completely. He can do sort of wave by doing different foot stances. b+3+4 is a big SS motion. That picture that came out few weeks ago where he ducks completely almost touching the ground is d+4 or d+3.
Craig Marduk
A lot of stuff.. he\'s VERY BAD MEANASS. He is big and slow in some basic moves.. but has a lot of power.
The worst thing to see is his Reverse and Special Mount stance. When he does reverse from oppponents move, he goes into mount position and hits the opponent 1,2 until the opponent dies or does reverse block. Also you can press 1,2 in different time sequence so that opponent can\'t reverse block, this can be delayed up to two seconds. To block 1, or 2, you have to press the corresponding button, but this only blocks and doesn\'t end the mount (weird). Another way to get out is to press b+1+3 or b+2+4 depending on 1,2 hitting.
Another good move is d+1+2. It avoids high hit and does a sort of uppercut (juggles really high). The d,df,f +2 grab is really fast and long range.. i guess it\'s sort of giant swing.
Christie
Everything\'s the same like with Eddy but she has lay down stance and u/f+4 slower than eddy\'s u/f+4. And she\'s really sexy

He has new move that looks like Akira\'s VF move (d+1+2)
There\'s f,f+2,1 - that dashing elbow into lunging fist.

Don\'t know much except b+3 juggles really fast

Everything\'s the same as Lee.
He has purple custume.
Even the sunglasses are purple.

1,2 punch can be done now.. 12. The 3rd stance from the razor rush where he has the best okizime... there\'s no auto parry from that stance now. Everything else is the same.
Bryan
Lots of new moves but don\'t remember much. Something special about his costume. His 2p custume has some sort of transparent parts in his body where you can see through it.
Julia
nothing new
Kuma
when he lays down, no more hits on big characters now. such as unblockable moves etc.. (i guess that means he isn\'t vulnerable anymore). Everything same.

Maybe I am just depressed that I still haven\'t played the game, but I am getting less and less interested in Tekken 4 every day.
An arcade around here better get Tekken 4 soon before I quit my Tekken addiction.
