I am trying to get every penny together for a new motor (Lotus Elise) and my ps2 looks like a whole bag o cash sitting there.

I bought it about 7 months ago but had brand new one sent to me 2 weeks ago as the old one was playing up.

I was intending to sell it when the x-box comes out, but there isn\'t much, game-wise that intrests me so the earlier i sell it the more i get.

The only problem is I really love gt3, but it can\'t compare to a real stripped out 0-60 in 5.9secs sports car.

hmmm, what does everyone else think?

I have:

PS2 (2 weeks old)
Sony Memory Card
Digital optical cable
S-Video

GT3
Crazy Taxi
Dead or Alive 2

(I have ALL the packaging and reciepts, gt3,ct even still have their plastic wrapping)

What sorta money am I looking at for a 2 week old ps2, I\'m thinking £230/240 for the machine.

What would everone else do?

GT3 or this...

Yikes man how much does an Elise sell for over there?  Even 240 pounds couldn\'t possibly make much of a dent in the cost of the car, could it?

hmmm, i think i would sell my PS2+games if it meant
getting a Merc SLK-AMG ... ;) then again, the cost is prohibitive even if i sell my house LOL.

why not see if you ccan get someone with a Lotus and trade it for your PS2.......

and then wait till the EX Box is released in the UK and then Buy a Nice New PS2 Plus a Whole heep of AAA Games with the rest of the money you saved for the car.

i wouldnt sell it. if you strip yourself of all cash just to buy a car, how are you going to be able to pay for gas, and insurance? it wont make a big difference in your saving at all. get a good job, and just start saving. its stupid to sell somthing you like (gt3)


im saving 10k us for my first car right now, i probably wont get it till college.

If I could sell my PS2 for a Lotus Elise (I\'m very fond of Lotus\' car designs), believe me, I would...;)  Go for it, but I\'m sure you could find out how to make money another way.  It\'s up to you...
