Only 6 bullits left, hmmm maybe I can beat this beast N0! Dead, So long, RIP.  Excellent game but ya gotta build your arsenal, and health pickups for way later in the game.

His name would be Tyrant. I remember on the DC, I got to him and then I had used most my gernade rounds on the gulp  worm , hunters and other things. I also used the BOW GUN POWDER, so all I had was my handgun. I had to start all over...

Lets take a mathematical approach to the issue.

more shooting + less puzzles + changing the controles=

(drumroll please)

Well, obviously, not all changes are for the better. ;)

RE: Gun Survivor, originally was a guncon game, then changed to a crappy FPS game for the US. The problem, from what I gather (I myself haven\'t played it so, I can\'t really comment from my own experiance) about Gun Survivor from reviews I have read, too easy and short. I mean, if RE: GS was done like Sega\'s House of the Dead 2, different story. Though hardcore, original RE fans might not like it (again, not all changes are good). Still, a little gameplay change won\'t hurt (drastic like RE:GS...yes).

Personally, I\'ve got a mixed bag of feelings about Resident Evil and RE:CV in particular. It\'s a great game, don\'t get me wrong, but the series is just starting to get worn out. That wouldn\'t be a problem in itself, but the storyline has just gotten sillier and more over the top with each installment. This isn\'t a good thing IMO in a game that\'s supposed to be deadly serious.

The whole Code Veronica storyline is lame IMO. I liked Umbrella more when it was an ambiguous monolithic corperation. Now that I know the roots behind them.. it\'s hard to draw up that air of mystery and suspence that the first 2 games had. Wesker\'s return is a prime example of this. Ok, I can understand William Berkin surving the "Hostile Takeover". He was still alive when he injected the G-Virus into his heart. But Wesker was IMPALED by the tyrant. I\'m not talking some little pinhole impailment.. he was nearly torn in half! To believe that some outside corperation was able to sneak into the mansion facility before it exploded, grab his corpse, and then revive him after that much damage had been done is just too predictable and corney.

But I do still play the series because I like the gameplay. Hard to believe, but I actually like how the controls are setup and how the game progresses. If anything, the Zombies annoy me because they get in the way of the puzzlesolving/item hunting. I\'m an old school adventure fanatic, so the static - prerendered backgrounds, monotinous item gathering, and frustrating puzzles are a boon to me. I take a certain satisfaction in knowing that so many people enjoy a game who\'s heart an soul lies within what many people consider a "dead genre". Heh, they even had to make a new genre for it (Survival Horror) because to link it with "Adventure" is a no-no these days. Those games that are labeled "Adventure" are nothing of the sort. Really, just how many similaritys are there between Soul Reaver and Monkey Island?? Not too damm many.

So I say, keep RE the way it\'s always been as far as gameplay is concerned. I may just be one gamer, but that\'s my take on the situation.
Please Bleed.. so I know that you are real.
Please Bleed.. so I know that you can feel the damage that you\'ve done.

Well, obviously, this thread is slowly turning into BS. Either we should instantly get back on topic, or...this thread would have to be closed.

Which speaking of on-topic, well, got a little furture in RE:CVX (and man, that knife is good...though in the hallways of the mansion, stupid knife won\'t aim down right! kept hitting the wall instead of the zombie laying on the ground). Though had to stop at that time (back-to-school shopping).

RE: C:V is one of the best DC games, ever...

I can\'t believe you guys are having so much trouble...

Low ammo, stuck on puzzles, lost, etc....

If you\'re having this much trouble at the beginning, I pity you when you finally make it to Disk 2, thats if you ever make it past that bad-a$$ Tyrant.

That fight is such genius on Capcom\'s part.

If you\'re finding the game that hard with the amount of ammo provided, don\'t even bother attempting a certain mini-game if and when you beat it...

But seriously, if you\'re having that much trouble, I can help you out. Its been a long time since I\'ve played but I\'ve managed to beat all 4 RE\'s with plenty of ammo leftover. I\'ve also managed to beat C: V w/o saving and under a certain time to unlock the special weapons. :D

Here\'s some tips for you...

1) Use the Bow Gun and the Arrows on zombies. They may be weak but you get plenty of them, they fire fast, and there\'s no need to reload.

2) Use the dual pistols against Bandersnatches. Shoot twice, run to it\'s left, then shoot again, and repeat.

3) Don\'t worry about losing your lighter. You don\'t need it as Claire.

4) Never use your Bow Gun Powder until facing Tyrant on the plane.

5) Don\'t bother fighting the Glup Worm the first time around. It\'s easy to avoid.

6) Do not make the same mistake I did the first time I played. SAVE THAT FIRE EXTINGUISHER!!! Although I didn\'t need it to beat the game, it still helps.

This is only for the first disk. If you need help on the second disk, let me know.

By the way, whatever happened to the DC version of C: VX?
July 2002: If you had bought $1000.00 worth of Nortel stock one year ago, it would now be worth $49.00. Enron, $16.50 left. Worldcom, $5.00 left. If you had bought $1,000.00 worth of Budweiser beer one year ago, drank it all and turned in the cans for the 10 cent deposit, you would have $214.00. Based on the above, my current investment advice is to drink heavily and recycle.

As far as I know, RE:CVX for the DC never made it to the states. IN Japan, its availble, but not here.

BTW, the PS2 version, its all on one DVD. No 2 disc here. Still need to save after Clarie\'s game before continuing to Chris\' game though. ;)

BTW, I haven\'t finished the game yet. I know the above...from other people who played RE:CVX.

And, for the most part, I\'m not having any problems with the game...now. The reason I had problems before was, well, zombies actually respawn in this game (well, in a few places) and spent too much ammo (especially the big ones) on these stupid guys. Unlike previous RE, ammo is really scarse in this game. I mean, previous REs, had an easy mode to work with, get the feel, know where each baddie is, then a harder less ammo mode would be availble to try out etc. Not RE:CVX where there is one mode, and one mode period.

And another thing. Previous REs, the knife for the most part, is a complete POS for these zombies. Going by that mantality, wasted tons of ammo for zombies I didn\'t have to for RE:CVX where the knife is actually a useful weapon.

Also, a "better" suggestion for killing zombies, :p, instead of the bow gun for the zombies, the knife. Knife them at the legs right before they are about to bite you, they fall, and keep slashing them until they die. Saves TONS of ammo.

Yes, as useful as the knife is (Better get in the practice now cause you will need it later when you complete the game and attempt a certain mini-game.) the Bow Gun is still better. Although you will be saving ammo, Bow Gun Bolts are plentiful and suck against anything else so why not use it against zombies?

Maybe if you were a little more open to games you wouldn\'t have this problem dumbass!
