A dumb question about importing a system...
« on: September 05, 2001, 06:25:17 AM »
Okay, I plan on taking my first paycheck and importing one of those nifty white Saturn\'s. I know Japan uses 100v , so I  was wondering if there is anyway I can get a power converter or any suggestions?

I\'ve never imported a Jap system, so I\'m rather ignorant on this subject.
Thanks, guys.

nothing is required to hook up a Japanese system, Clip, actually.

but if you want to be on the safe (wussy :)) side, go to Radio Shack, I am pretty sure they have something you are looking for.

I have a White Saturn and Mega-Drive and I don\'t use anything special for them.

Yes, I\'m a wuss. ;)

I probably won\'t even bother with going to Radio Shack, I imagine I\'ll buy the Japanese Saturn just for the collection and start playin\' the imports via the InterAct Game Shark on my domestic Saturn.

No need for any type of convertor clippy. I\'ve used imported consoles before, and everything runs fine. I\'d love to import the white Saturn also, but Saturn games are so scarce now. :( (anyone happen to know a place that has a good selection of them? -- )

There is a really good import shop in the mystical land of Narnia. They have pretty much all of the Japanese games available for import. I don\'t know if you have one in you area. Check your closet.

the infamous http://www.buy-rite.com
http://www.ncsx.com
http://www.lik-sang.com <---maybe.
http://www.ebay.com best choice for some games, worse for others.
http://www.ugtz.com <--- trade buy or sell with whackos like you. I am on their with about 2/3 of my stuff as NeoSega.

some others, but those are your best bets.

Beasty,

I know about half those sites, but they don\'t carry some exceptional titles.

(Radiant Silvergun, Silhouette Mirage, Dragon Force, etc.) :) I\'ll still look them over though, maybe I\'ll have some luck. Thanks.

data, you won\'t find those titles anywhere, but if for some reason you can find a site with some of the ex+rare titles, PM me.

dont post it here, those gameplay hungry fools might buy a Saturn and games before I get the chance!
